So what do you think, i'm 18, i don't think there is a age limit and even if you are 80 you could still play if you wanted to but there some young kids out there that think gaming is just for teenagers mostly and if you are older you are weird, i tell you i'll be playing the ps4, ps5 and ps6 when they come out, i don't care about age at all since i feel gaming now is for over 18's mostly cause of over 18 games and increasingly sexual content in games

It gets better when you older and you can buy your own games and systems. That way you dont have to depend on "mommy" to buy your games.

Though, being able to afford anything I want is definitely a huge plus.

I feel like I'm getting into that territory already, sure I'll be into games for a while longer but it has cooled considerably. I'm starting to get nostalgic for some retro stuff. Things have changed a lot: See 1 MB game compared to 22 GB Resistance in 15 years

I'm 29 and I pwn young fools all day everyday. All that is, is stupid teenage ignorance. Ask them when they are 12 years older if it is weird that they are playing games.

I don't think there is one, I stopped gaming for about 5 years because it didn't interest me and I thought I had outgrown it.

However, now I am 23 I picked it up again and enjoying it more than ever. Generally I have been gaming since I was about 4 on the NES/Master System, I see it as an enjoyable hobby, if not, at the very least, a habit :P

I'd like to add that gaming is *SO* much more enjoyable when you're older and have a disposable income and are not at the mercy of the parentals :D

This isnt the 70's through early 90's anymore when gaming was considered "just for nerds". But anyways, I'm 28 and the only thing that has changed is that new games take alot more to impress me.

There is no "too old" for gaming. And this will be changing as time goes on.

Right now you have a WWII generation that knows almost nothing of games. Then you have their kids, "baby boomers", that only know games (for the most part) because of their kids. And then you have those that were born in the 70's and later (again, for the most part) that grew up with games and consoles. As that generation gets older, the number of gamers grows. Obviously, because every generation after is born into a gaming world.

When arthritis claims your wrists (one reason I play consoles instead of PCs is because my wrists ache after 8 hours of coding). And with the Wiimote, I'm not even sure you have to stop then anymore.

Winner right here.

Gaming is entertainment, there is no age when you need to cut down on your entertainment.

I'd say 25. By 25 you should have a job, focusing on your career and be involved in some kind of relationship. By 30, video games should be dead to you. But I'm only 17 so what do I know.

There is no age that's "too old." There might be a time where it's too much though, having lots of other things going on in your life can restrict your time for gaming entertainment.

However, I don't plan on stopping, but I'm only 16. I don't know where my life will take me yet.

Considering how games continue to evolve in sophistication, both with gameplay and content, there's just no such thing as "too old" to play video games.

I feel like I'm growing out of gaming, not because of my age but because most games are crap. Nobody want's to do anything new or take any risks. Everyone prasies Bioshock, CoD4, Halo 3, UT3 and a whole lot of other games but to me they are the same thing I was playing 5 - 10 years ago.

A couple of my friends think it's weird I still really like games at 19. I don't care though I really like it and I'll keep liking it all my life, hell I'll probably end up getting a job in gaming.

I think it's stupid people think they need to grow out of gaming. Movies, book, music are all the same. I've never heard someone say "Ok this is the last movie I'm ever going to see I'm 25 now I have other things to do". If you honestly think a job and a girl will take up 100% of your life from 25 then you have no idea, you can do...you know other stuff than work and dates you know?

I'm 36, work a day job, freelance on the side, spend time with the family, go out with friends for movies, night clubs, auto import shows... and still find a couple hours here and there with my X360.

No reason that video games can't fit into a "proper social life".

I don't understand why there should be an age limit to gaming. It's a form of entertainment just like movies. It's like saying ur too old to watch movies.

I'm 46 and really just getting into it. The new consoles and games are so much better then they were when I was a kid. Not to mention when your older you don't have to ask mommy or daddy for money to buy your games, also you can play when you want and what you want.
