What are some PC RPG's that aren't MMO or Diablo point and click style?

I don't feel like upgrading my PC but I still want to try out the experience, plus I like RPG's (except the two types listed) and figure they wouldn't need heavy duty pc parts.

Recommendations appreciated : D

Baldur's Gate II, and Deus Ex (a great FPSRPG) comes to mind.

Get Final Fantasy VIII. Best RPG ever, and it's on the PC.AmyMizuno

Although you may have to find patchs to make it work with XP, or Vista. (I have the PC versions of FF7 and 8, although I could never get into Final Fantasy VIII, not sure why)

Are you looking for JRPGs specifically? Because there aren't too many of those, but there are plenty of WRPGs.

Not specifically, I'm just lookin for some that don't require hours worth of grinding like most MMORPG's....

The Witcher is a fantastic RPG!

Neverwinter series is great

Along with Baldurs gate!!

And i know you said no MMO's but Age Of Conan is amazing!

Also any of the Elderscrolls series (With Oblivion being my least fav of the series)

Yes! :)

Also try The Witcher, possibly Mass Effect or Oblivion if you don't own them, Planescape: Torment, Morrowind, Daggerfall, Arena, Fallout 1&2, and several others.

Well, the game has a lot of mature-er themes (of course coated with the standard language, nudity(full nudity in EU version I think), etc.). However it has some deep underlying tones and the decisions in the game are quite hard to make, as both are incredibly gray (although one is a bit grayer, but may benefit you more usually). The decisions actually effect the gameplay and story later on and the game world feels so decadent and dark it's awesome. The soundtrack complements it really well too.

It has it's flaws. The combat is clicky and the graphics are good but nothing stellar. There is also a repeated use of the same character models which can be bothersome.

It's still my favorite WRPG in ages though.

You misspelled Fallout. :|

Also look into the Icewind Dale series, the Baldur's Gate series, the Wizardary series, the Witcher, and the Neverwinter Nights series.
