you know...
games that made you say "wow, that was really trippy"
The trippiest game I ever played would have to be silent hill 2, followed by killer 7

The game sounds crispier and louder on the PS2. The game looks better on the Dreamcast with the VGA adapter. Standard display though, it looks better on the PS2. I have both versions. The Dreamcast version is only more expensive by now, but it's not superior, pretty much it's only for people who want to say they have it on the Dreamcast.
Vib Ribbon, Um Jammer Lammy, Seaman, Roommania #203, Sexy Parodius to name some.Panzer_Zweidunno about the others, but seaman may be a bit of the WTF, but trippy, to me at least, is more flashy colors and mind blowing stuff.
Edit: Like Freezepop sounds, but with visuals. :P Like the music visualizers on winamp and wmp. Of course, trippy music helps games be trippy.
Man, I remember when the first visualizer came about. That was the definition of trippy.
Killer 7 for sure.
Psychonauts: some of the minds of certain characters are truly bizarre.
Metal Gear Solid 2
FLOW.
Space Giraffe
If you want to battle a giant 50ft bikini clad baby import The Daibijin
Loco Roco
Katamari Demacy
...lol wut?Killer 7 for sure.

i know nobody will be able to understand this
but gunbound
i had a mushroom trip while playing this... not only did i destroy the other team, but they refused to believe i did so while tripping
really, what made it so great was how colorful the game is, the trails your weapons leave behind, the landscape damage... all of it was already like i was tripping even if i wasn't... it just took me a trip to realize it
and ofcourse... eternal darkness
hm... i also tripped during one of the weird ass maps on goldeneye where its just hallways
they all begin to merge into eachother and it feels pretty crazy
i know nobody will be able to understand thisvoxware00I doubt I could possibly concentrate on a video game under the circumstances you describe.
Also, what the heck is gunbound? Sounds cool.

In some cases it actually makes games even better, SSBM is so intense when you're under the influence.

Yeah. A game so trippy you'll never figure out how to actually play it.
Download the demo on XBOX Live if your time is worthless to you.

silicon valley anyone?
definitly killer 7 and MGS2 especially when the colonel is telling you to turn the game off :o

Bingo, here's our winner
If you think that was trippy try out Call of Cthulu for XBOX or PC.
The most intense experience I ever had while gaming and hallucinating was DOOM on PS1. The gameplay was so intense and the ambient soundtrack so frigging bizarre I literally felt like I was trapped in the game like I was living a future life or something.
