Personally, I don't like these franchises and I wouldn't mind seeing them dead. 1) Halo 2) Tomb Raider 3) Dead or Alive 4) Metal Gear Solid 5) Guitar Hero 6) The Sims 7) Final Fantasy ( I used to like it, but enough is enough) 8) Grand Theft Auto 9) Pokemon Those are the ones that come up first on my mind....what about you?
It's not like I don't like the franchises you listed (most of them are timeless classics), but there comes a point when developers over-exhaust the franchise. A few new original IPs wouldn't go a miss.
The only franchise I would want to see "dead" is Zelda. The series is so repetitive you know exactly whats going to happen well before you play the game. The reason for quotations is that the Zelda series still has a ton of potential, the problem is Nintendo is more than happy churning out games like TP, which is basically OoT with better graphics.

halo to some degree yes tomb raider definetly along with DOA but the rest i don't really mind especially MGS considering that last one coming out
There are some games I don't like. Pokemon,Halo,Final FantasyCrash Bandicoot and Spyro but they are game I am not intrested in but other people might be.
I want Halo to go, Halo 3 ended the story and if they release more Halo's, they would be just lame quick cash ins and give bad name to what Halo was and also: Sonic: once a great game now a joke, better to kill the game then give it a bad name Crash Bandicoot: Same as Sonic, good before, bad now
Gran Turismo, Pro Wresling. Or basiscly every other 'realistic' racing and fightning game. :|Sgt_Crow
Blasphemy. GT and Forza are decent, semi-realistic sims that are as close as I'll ever get to driving an F430. A lot of people enjoy the challenge of perfecting a racing line - it's a lot harder than trash like NfS:Underground (though I haven't played the new NfS yet).

That might be, but I hate fightning and racing games. They are so utterly boring it would seriously kill me if I had to complete them.
Dynasty Warriors. MLB 2K series (seriously, the MVP series is much better), Mario Party, God of War, Halo (the trilogy is finished, so there's no reason to continue on with the story).

None, I'm not forced to buy them and someone obviously must enjoy them if they keep buying them (unless they are just stupid and buy simply on the name of the game, which I'm sure many do). I still don't understand how could anyone hate a franchise when all they have to do is not buy the game. I mean if you play it and don't like it then fine, you could say I hate that game or fanchise but to want it to no longer exist simply because you don't like it is just ignorant.
I think Halo is a bit exhausted in my mind. Never played Tomb Raider, so I don't care. Dead or Alive, meh, whatever. I like MGS so I disagree there. Guitar Hero, again I wouldn't mind. Final Fantasy needs to stop. GTA...uh no way, I love it. Pokemon...was cool when there was only 150 of them.
I want anything with the words "Tom Clancy" in the title to poetically fade away. And how about the Need for Speed games, I don't want anymore of those either.
The Mario Games not made by Nintendo or there First and 2nd Parties, so that means the Baseball since it is made by Namco even though it is fun, and Mario Party.
