what are the must play game(s) of this generation

In every generation each console has a couple of games that are must play. from mario 64 to gta 3. for this generation i dont think you can miss out any on these games. what are your must play games?

super mario galaxy- I have never played a game as challenging and entertaining as this. it really is the perfect platformer with enough innovation to make it feel fresh.

Uncharted 2- The best looking game of this generation, not only is story captivating but really hooks the player to continue. non stop action and a game that feels polished and unparalled by any other of this generation.

Mass Effect- A very genuine game,feels incredible to play and even even better to explore what this game has to offer.

Bioshock- A blend of action and strategy, playing this game felt like playing half life. the atmosphere was great and the enviroment was original.

LittleBigPlanet- for the first time in a game i felt like i had the tools to make my own innovative game. This feeling alone makes this game a must own.

Call of duty 4- say what you will about the cod franchise currently, but this game had an excellent single player and the most addicting multiplayer.

And I'll add Batman: Arkham Asylum, and Portal, but I don't care to write up reasons why. They're just awesome games.

Mass Effect 1 and 2 are the only two games Ive played this generation that if I didnt play them id feel incomplete.

I would say Crysis.Especially in 2007.
I played it maxed out on my brother's computer.Damn,it looked amazing.Finished it in one playthrough.

Mario vs Donkey: March of the Minis, Mario vs Donkey Kong: Miniland Mayhem, New Super Mario Bros. (DS/Wii), Donkey Kong Country Returns, Kirby's Epic Yarn, Valkyria Chronicles, Demon's Souls, Super Stardust HD, Mega Man 9, Mega Man 10, Joe Danger, Jean D'Arc, Castlevania: Dracula X Chronicles, Prinny Can I Really Be The Hero?, Hammerin Hero, Star Ocean: First Departure, Star Ocean: Second Evolution, Hotel Dusk: Room 215, and a crapload of others I'm too sleepy to think of right now. I like this gen more than last gen, let's put it that way.

The only thing missing here is Demons Souls.

THE ELDER SCROLLS 4! The game is getting dated though. It is probably one of my favorite games of all time. Such a huge world to explore!

I would say Portal is the game everyone needs to play. It's probably one of the most unique games this generation, and no one has an excuse not to play it.Nerd_Man

Note that these games aren't necessarily my favourites (although a lot of them are), but I think they all defined gaming this generation in one way or another, and/or provide us with valuable information on where the video gaming industry is going.
