What are the next 3 games on your Day 1 list?

Mine are:

• No More Heroes 3 (Aug 27th): played the first two this year on Switch, and really loved the first one. This one seems like it stuck to the original formula, so I'm hyped!
• Lost Judgement (Sept 24th): another game I played this year, and I played the PS5 version which was smooth! This is the game for us old school Yakuza games looking for a modern take.
• Death Stranding Director's Cut (Sept 24th): the original was very promising, but didn't always hit the mark. I'm excited for the new content and am hoping Kojima gives us an even better experience this time.

I'm going to be waiting a long time for any day ones, apart from FC6. Nothing else I will even vaguely consider touching day one as it's generally a really stupid thing to do.

I'm sure there are others I'm forgetting - the upcoming games list for 2021 is jam-packed with great titles.

There's no guarantee right now with my current situation. Rarely do I consider buying games on Day One. Most likely it would be Lost Judgment - if I find a good deal that is.

I was going to say none because I "don't do day one gambles"

However, as a GP subscriber that isn't true/a problem now.

So instead of getting to be all snobby I have to provide a regular answer:

AOE4, Psychonauts 2, and Forza Horizon 5 :-p

In this day and age, buying a game day 1 sounds like insanity to me. But if I was gonna take a dip in the silly pool, I would lean towards Hogwarts Legacy.

Total War: Warhammer III. They usually have a pre-order bonus that lasts a week after launch, which I'm going to take to watch out for any problems. The first two games launched smoothly, so I'm not all that worried, but after Rome II, you can never be too sure.

Also, maybe Forza Horizon 5. I really liked FH3. FH4 was a little disappointing, but I still liked it. I have a decent amount of confidence in FH5.

And probably Praey for the Gods, whenever that comes out of Early Access. One of the three devs on that game had a family emergency, so the release got delayed. Hoping that will be sorted out okay and the game can get back on track, because it looks decent.

Day 1's are a very rare thing. Right now through 2022 , I would only say

• Horizon Forbidden West
• God of War
• Spider-Man 2

Everything else is when I get to it - Elden Ring , Final Fantasy XVI , etc.

Nothing at the moment. I'm not always up-to-date on game releases nowadays, but I don't see anything too exciting on the horizon.

Humankind is launching in a week. Been waiting on a Civ 6 competitor for a while.

Just Metroid Dread, given that it's good. There's no point in waiting for a pricedrop that never comes.

1. Deathloop. Arkane is 100% success rate with me, so obvious day-one purchase.

2. Humankind. Amplitude is amazing.

3. Warhammer 3: Total War. Hundreds of hours out of the first two installments, not to mention probably thousands more across the entire TW franchise. This is a day-one no-brainer.

Yeah, same.

Old World also looks good, but sadly is exclusive to Epic Store so it's a no-buy for now.

Monster Train First Class (Switch Aug. 19th), King's Bounty II (PS5/PS4 Aug. 24th), Port Royale 4 (Undecided Sep. 10), Cruis'n Blast (Switch Sep. 14th), Hot Wheels Unleashed (PS5 Sep. 27th), Super Monkey Ball Banana Mania (Undecided Oct. 2nd), Battlefield 2042 (PS5 Oct. 15th), House of Ashes (PS5 Oct. 22nd), Mario Party Superstars (Switch Oct. 29th).

Although if I had to put things in order my priorities are 1. Getting an XSX 2. King's Bounty II 3. Battlefield 2042

It's just Metroid Dread at the moment

Aliens: Fireteam Elite, Halo Infinite, BF 2042. Honorable mention - Back4Blood.

Super Monkey Ball: Banana Mania for sure, really hyped for that. Maybe Tales of Arise too, and that Fatal Frame remaster if it's priced right.
