I'm not a fan of any of those series, so I'm not upset at all. (though I might play MGS4...that 15 minute gameplay demonstration was pretty impressive)
There is no way thos games will be the last; its just publicity by the developers
why kill of a good series when it is still popular?
I'm not saying they will go the way of final fantasy and have 13 iterations but there will at least be spinoffs or more prequels.

these are the last games for the story arcs, i knowretro isnt doing another console prime but might do sequel to MPH. They also may make a nother metrod game in 3d but its not gonna have really anything to do with dark samus or phazon i dnt think, since thats the main focus in the prime story arc and they're ending it.
Im upset that its the last Halo game in the trilogy. Everything ends here and we finally get to finish the fight. I hope the guys at Bungie have a great ending for Halo 3..
Well Im kinda sad that it's the last Metroid and Halo game but Im glad it's the last MGS game no more boring over dramatic story with Fanboys clamering saying "It's the best series ever !!!!" I would like to see what retro and bungie do next with a new IP we all know what konami is coming out with more DDR and Castlvania basically more sequels *yawn* no knew IP's from them :wink:

yeah that's what i heard. Same could and probably will happen with Metroid. And i dunno about MGS.
I wouldn't doubt it for Metroid, but I would guess this will be the last MGS game Kojima works on. Halo Wars was announced a long time ago so we know somebody will beat that horse for a while (j/k I'm excited about halo wars).

oh sorry i thought you meant last metroid game ever LMAO sorry misunderstood that. But yeah im kina wondering what nintendo will do for a conolse metroid after prime i mean since supposedly this will be the last metroid gameretro willwork on. Cant wait for a 2d handheld metroid game though(if nintendo decides to make one).
