There's so many good games on the 3DS, it's hard to even keep track anymore. But what are the ones you absolutely adore? What are the ones you would recommend find a place in any 3DS owner's library?

Because you are allowed to compare the 3DS's best games or library or whatever with any other system in this thread, as long as you bring meaningful discussion. You think Vita has better games? Great! But actually talk about why, instead of the usual 'Vita is better, 3DS sucks'

As a Nintendo fan and 3DS owner, I was really disappointed with the system. Most of the system's games are ports or very derivative sequels. I wouldn't be joking if I said I couldn't find ten games I really liked.

Fucking ditto. From the greatest of all time in the DS to the 3DS, holy shit am I disappointed.

I can find ten games I liked, kinda, but the system probably has less than ten great games total. So I'll list the ones I found at least somewhat great, because simply good games don't make a system.

Honestly, all I really played on the thing was Super Mario 3D Land and A Link Between Worlds. 3D Land was a fun but forgettable romp, and Between Worlds was genuinely excellent. I ended up getting rid of it before playing anything else.

I know what my #1 is at least =p

• Sims 3 (such a torn down Sims game but it was SO addictive)

I still have yet to get to Majora's Mask, I've a feeling I would have included that had I played it (and knock Sims 3 off the list).

Besides my unusually large backlist, I also acquired through the end of ClubNintendo Kid Icarus Uprising, New Super Mario Bros 2, and Animal Crossing New Leaf, all which I hear are really good. Just haven't gotten around to playing either of these yet.

I'll be interest in future for Bravely Second, Project X Zone 2, any other SMT related games if they ever do come.

As much as I WANT to like the 3DS which I've had since launch, it has been a complete disappointment for me too. No game I have played (even with the New 3ds) takes good advantage of the 3d feature so might as well leave it off. And there are only a handful of games that are great but they are uninspired ports and sequels. Vs the DS or even the GBA, the game quality just isn't as interesting imo, the best thing the 3ds has for it are RPG's but I am not a huge RPG fan to begin with.

I just started Bravery Default and it is painfully slow....

@lamprey263 How in the world were you able to finish ProjectXZone? As a fighting fanatic, after the 16 hour mark, I just could not finish the game. Missions were so redundant and long.

I'm glad Charizard is taking a stance on the Vita trolling. Hopefully he will apply this to all threads, not just the ones he makes lol.

Well, it's only really aesthetically a fighting game, in many other ways still mainly a strategy RPG; and that being said, what JRPG doesn't require a saintly amount of patience? To be honest, I thought toward the end of the game was when it got good, compared to early on where fights lacked challenge, but I could overlook it for the insane fights.

Is this really System Wars material? In any case.

I got a 3ds not so long ago for the first time and did enjoy some titles on it,mainly Zelda a link between worlds and the remaster of OOT,3D mario land was fun whilst it lasted as well as NSM2 but i really couldn't be bothered to go back and collect all the star coins....I don't know why but i always enjoy playing a new Zelda even though they are seemingly all similar but i can only play Mario in short bursts...maybe it's getting a bit boring jumping and collecting stuff?

Oh and Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon was a pleasant surprise :)

The 3DS too disappointed me from both a hardware and software perspective. The DS had the benefit of being in a pre-iPhone world, and it shows with the sheer support for it. 3DS, you take away Nintendo and Atlus, then it's fucking nothing.

I should ban you for even suggesting that somebody use the circle pad for OlliOlli. That's geneva convention violating shit right there.

Surprised a lot of people are disappointed in the system. It's because of the 3DS and it's library that my Vita never gets used. Anyway, here's my list:

While the 3DS does not outclass the DS overall, I still find the system's AAA offerings, in addition to its eShop titles, make it well worth owning and its consequent success a modern-day example of David trumping Goliath.
