What are your top 5 games of all time?

Difficult thread, not top 10 or 15 but lets talk about top 5 games of all time. shall we?

heres mind

1. Deus Ex

2. System Shock 2

3. STALKER

4. Half life 2

5. Doom Eternal

I dont think Deus Ex will surpassed anytime soon. its impossible the impact it create. but System shock 2 and Deus Ex 1 are toe to toe. for me these 2 games define gaming. STALKER come third as its best FPS game of all time still. Half life 2 and Doom Eternal are toe to toe as both are best pure FPS games ever.

Doom and Doom Eternal are only modern games that got my list of top 5. incredible achievement.

but anyways what are your top 5? lets discuss.

I didn't know you liked half life 2. Also I'm disappointed you don't bring in Alan wake, which you talk about all the time, or even final fantasy 7R ultimate movie game (your real favorite). Let's not forget spiderman (ultimate movie game #2) which is also another one of your favorites.

They are not enough to be even in my top 10 let alone top 5.

and Half life 2? I talk about Half life series a lot. I just stop talked about it in while because HL3 is not being made.

@ConanTheStoner: Duke Nukem Forever also redefined the FPS genre.

@jaydan: Would argue HAZE got there first, Duke was just riding coattails.

your list is great cup, but for me Deus Ex and System shock 2 are 2 of greatest reperesnation of gaming. or what represent gaming to me.

As much as l like Spec Ops it wouldn't make my top 5 and for Sleeping Dogs it changes on my mood.

As for your list... I like Half Life 2 but I don't care about the other games TBH.

Here is my new top 5 list:

1) Halo Infinite

2) Halo CE

3) Halo 3

4) Halo 4

5) Halo Reach

Halo 1 was good. not masterpeice. didnot care for rest.

• Deus Ex: Human Revolution
• Dishonored
• Persona 4 Golden

In no particular order I'd say possibly:

• Street Fighter 2 Turbo (for single player)
• Ace Combat 6 (possibly number 1)
• Super Mario World (grew up with it)
• Akham Origins/Arkham Knight (couldn't choose, they both top my list in the Arkham series)
• Ninja Gaiden Black (one of the most finely tuned hack n slashes I've played, I love it)

But this doesn't really do justice for my love of retro gaming. There's SO many other games. I will say that most games for the last two gens (8 and 9) just don't really cut it with me. If there was a fanboy name for the retro gamer, like cow/lem/sheep/hermit, I'd probably be that.

As single player games, I think I liked Halo 3 and ODST the most. I think Halo CE and 2 while fun are a little overrated. Reach is straight boring. I have an ocd about playing games in order, and I just can't bring myself to finish Reach, so I haven't really moved on past that. In my honest opinion I do think Bungie is a little overrated. People can say what they want about 343, but even as Bungies Halo games were new, I could see the flaws. Halo 3 was absolutely epic though and co-op was amazing.

I like Human revolution a lot. incredible game, a masterpiece but putting it over original?

something I cant imagine.
