What Black Friday Week/Cyber Monday gaming related purchases have you made this year?

With today being the first day of December and most Black Friday/Cyber Monday deals going away within the next few days, I am curious to know what you guys bought, if you bought anything at all.

Me, I bought Horizon Zero Dawn, Death Stranding, Halo MCC, Gears 5 GOTY edition, Metro Exodus Expansion Pass, Far Cry 3, Beyond: Two Souls, Heavy Rain and Detroit Become Human. I bought a bunch of former playstation exclusives because I have been watching movies more than playing games lately and I figure maybe some heavily cinematic games will get me back into gaming. I swear to myself that I will try to play at least one of the things I bought instead of just having it sit in my Steam backlog for years.

Haven't bought any gaming peripherals and accessories although I was thinking of getting an Xbox Elite Controller and a new gaming mouse.

Nothing. Currently suffering from severe PTSD from purchasing BF2042 at full price.

Nothing so far. I looked at the games for both PS5|Series X and nothing urged me to buy. I forgot to take a look at Steam.

No games. Gonna leave that for the Winter Sale.

Did buy a Logitech G413 keyboard. Only just in case and only because it's on discount, though; my venerable G105 is still going. A few keys sometimes don't register, and the space bar won't press properly if I don't press the centre of it, but otherwise, it still works. This thing lasted longer than all the Saitek and Razer ones I used to have put together, so I'm certainly not complaining.

Also bought a few S-pens for my Note 9, but that's not really gaming related.

Nothing, which is a first, got everything that looks good or the sales weren't substantial enough to warrant a purchase. There'll be a countdown sale to 2022 no doubt.

On BF, (or rather pre-BF) I've got purchased Ryzen 9: 5900X for only $470 and it was a hell of a deal as I don't buy CPUs over $500 anyway, so gotta hit the trigger button while the deal was good. That said, my order just came today in the mail, I'll make the swap from my 5600X and give it to my daughter's gaming PC as she's due for a super upgrade CPU.

Also found myself getting Xbox Series S (thanks @SolidGame_basic) just to play old games on it and I do miss playing Rare Replay lol.

For Autumn sales on Steam, I only purchased 2 games Metallic Child & Deathloop. As of now, there's nothing I really need to buy, and just waiting for Halo: Infinite to arrive on December 8th.

As for hardware I bought a Seiren Mini microphone and I'm very happy with the purchase.

I use it soley to communicate when I'm playing online with friends in games like Age of Empires or tactical shooters.

Thought about buying a new AIO but passed for now. Grabbed RE3make and Death Stranding on PC, and bought a bunch of Mario and Pokemon plushies for my kids.

got guardians of the galaxy for ps5 at 50% off for my 7 year old nephew's xmas present. it says 16 and up on the box but i watched a few live streams when it came out and it looks pretty harmless 🤞 he'll love it

Just the GoT Director's Cut for PS5. Trying to limit my spending, so the only other game i'm grabbing is Halo Infinite in a week.

What country are you from again? I think I remember you saying you're South East Asian or something close.

Is RE3 remake really that bad? Where did you get it for 12 bucks, the cheapest key site I know only had it for $15. I also hear that RE8 is a step down from RE7.

Oh man you should have checked out sites like Fanatical and Gamebillet, they had Deathloop for about $5-$6 cheaper plus no tax. I was tempted to picked up Deathloop but I realized I still haven't even played the Dishonored games yet and it would probably feel like a downgrade to start with Deathloop first and then go to the Dishonored series in gameplay. Wow you got Metallic Child I remember seeing an article of that game on Gematsu a couple of years ago and completely forgot about it. Have you played it yet?

Yes, I started playing Metallic Child, its really fun, kinda reminds me of Megaman in 3D mode with a roguelike. The game went on sale and it's been sitting on my wishlist for so long until now. Once Steam winter sale starts, you should grab it.

I wasn't mad at paying $29 just for Deathloop as I've been meaning to play it whenever it goes on sale and will play it whenever I'm done with Halo: Infinite.

@davillain-: Well to me it would be a big deal because then I can use that $5 saved to buy a $5 game :P. I only bought 4 things from Steam which had a subtotal of $45 but after taxes it became $49.50. This is why I don't buy games from Steam as much anymore, other sites have the game for cheaper and no tax. The only downside is that on 3rd party key sites if the game is from a major publisher with their own launcher then you get key for their launcher and not a Steam key so if you want the built-in Steam integration you gotta fork over the extra bucks.

Metallic Child looks like a isometric bullet hell beat em up game to me. I believe the game is Korean too right? I do like how Korean devs are starting to branch out from just MMOs and mobile games, I feel like I should support it to motivate them.

Sell it on eBay now? You'll feel a lot better. I did it with Final Fantasy 7 Remake and KH3. Made a £15-20 loss. Better than never selling it

Saw a good deal of tempting things offered but ultimately decided to hold off on any purchases. I already have way to many games that I’ve purchased that I have yet to play. Also got a lot to play through Game Pass as well.

Nothing for me, I try to avoid spending money during these kinds of holidays. unless I really need something and it’s a very good deal. Last time I bought something on Black Friday/Boxing Day was a new laptop a few years ago.

I could sell it on ebay, but then i'd have nothing worth playing until the end of February when Elden Ring comes out. 2021 blow.

@hardwenzen: If you’d have yourself a XSX you would of had some AAA games to play with. Do you have GamePass on your PC? It seems like the PS5 is having a tough holiday season in 2021?

atm there is nothing on gp that i am interested in. in 2022 there's certainly multiple titles that i am interested, so i will get gp for those games and hope to find a gpu by then.

Bought Doom Eternal for $15. Played it for 1 hour and it got extremely stale. Having much more fun replaying DS3 for a third time and also playing DS2 for the first.

I also have the PS5 exclusive Deathloop $29 (physical, will be delivered soon) and TES V: Skyrim remaster since I haven't played it since I was a PC gamer back in 2011 loaded up with all kinds of mods.

Literally have way too many games to play lol.

@brimmul777: if he had a PS5, he'd actually have quality games to play. Like the exclusives such as Deathloop, Returnal, R&C:RA which are all GOTY contenders and most likely going to win all the awards. if he had the XSX he would have gone ten years without a quality game to play. and still only multiplats this fall.

I spent about $160 on the Steam Sale and got about 28 games. Nearly everything in my Steam Wishlist was on sale, and a lot of the games where included in bundles that where 80% - 90% off, so I ended up getting a lot more than I intended on originally. My software collection is getting out of hand, because I could never buy another game ever again and still die before I could beat every title I own.

Nothing really jumped out at me, so I passed. I was hoping, and read, that PSNow goes on sell around Black Friday and Cyber Monday -- but that proved to be incorrect. I'll still sub to it, it's a decent price as is.

I bought the two Doom Eternal dlc but that's it. I made a habit in the past of buying a bunch of games on Black Friday because they were on sale but I never played them. I'm not going to waste money again by buying games that I won't play.

Didn't buy anything because I don't need anything. PC is fully kitted and PS5 hasn't tempted me yet.

I didn't need to buy any games got wayyyy to much backlog.

Still bought Cuphead on the switch for $12.

Yall are you just buying a bunch of crap because the little number called a price tag is small(er). Don't see the point of filling up your backlog with games that you most likely will never even try or care to finish.
