The Wii if not just for 2d platformers like New Super Mario Brothers, Wario Land, Boy and his Blob, Mega Man 9, Contra Rebrith, World of Goo and so on. The only people that think 2d gaming is dead must not own a Wii.
A lot of people spent more time playing Mario on handhelds too ...
But at present Wii. Not just because of SMG but also because of VC and Wiiware titles. I am loving the Three Musketeers despite the bad reviews from some parts.
Wii. If just for the mount that it has. The other systems seem to have some platform hybrids, like Ratchet and Clank, Braid, etc. But that's arguing the lines between genres.
I think Wii is best, because it has Super Mario Galaxy, in addition to the many other games on the VC, including older Marios, Metroid, and Castlevania.

None of the above. No modern console fully represents the platformer genre as it has been in the past, nor are most of those platformers available, really come close to matching the quality of platformers of a bygone era.
In all honesty all 3 consoles have amazing platformers. 360: Braid, Splosion' Man, & more. PS3: Ratchet & Clank Tod, QFB, & A CiT. inFAMOUS, Little Big Planet, Bionic Commando Rearmed, & more. Wii: Super Mario Galaxy/2, Super Mario Bros Wii, Klenoa, & more. Not to mention the various platforming classics on Wii Ware. like Sonic, & SMB.
The Wii, not just because of SMG as it has other good platformers such as De Blob, Super Paper Mario, WarioLand, Sonic Unleashed, Sonic and the Secret Rings (best 3D sonic game in a long time IMO), Nights and other Wiiware games. VC also has many great platformers.
