What console will win this holiday season?

Well... PS3 has a number of good games coming out for the holidays, 360 has Halo 3, and the Wii might have its big three games ready for Christmas... Smash Bros. Brawl, Metroid Prime 3, and Mario Galaxy.

It will be close... so I don't really know.

My Dream

1. PS3

2.Xbox360

3. Wii

My guess is this

1. Xbox 360

2. Wii

3. PS3

The 360 has Halo 3 and GTA4 and is cheaper than the PS3 who still can't justify their price. The wii is a little gimmicky and doesn't have great games yet. So just like last year.

lets just wait until e3 until we can see what ps3 and wii have lineup as far as holiday releases because we have no idea what is coming for either of them.

Let's not forget the PS3 is leading in cancelled games and is in line to loose Final Fantasy XIII to the 360 as well. I think the real questions are what does sony have that ms doesn't? How long will it be before they lose those to. You may want to do your homework first, sony isn't the best anymore and you need to accept that.

You can't say that until it outsells somebody, for all you know everybody who got it had a GC last gen and wanted it because it's cheaper. The PS3 and 360 have games that appeal to those people to, and adult games? .......You mean godfather? Is that it? You know the Wii has an awful sports lineup right? No basketball at all.

 Look at total sales, the 360 is number 1. In fact the 360 outsold the Wii in November and December and still has a slight lead over it in total sale since November...Wait until the is #1 somewhere that isn't Japan...

I'll go ahead and say Holiday Sales will be very close between Wii & 360, with the PS3 trailing rather badly.

However by that time the Wii will probably have caught the 360 in overall sales and take 1st place with most units sold.

It is the "fad" remember. It's also cheap enough to be given as a gift and not break the bank.  

Obviously, the Wii will win in the holiday season.

It's gaining on teh Xbox 360 by about 800k a month around the world. ( 400k in J and 3K in the US, and 100k in europe and the rest of the world)

It might catch up sooner then expected.

Is it really even selling that much world wide? I mean its getting in the 200,000 area in the U.S, its only selling about 20,000 a week in Japan so I'd say generiously 100,000 a month in Japan. Now if you have to add to think how can it be GAINING on the xbox by 800,000 a month around the world? That would imply that it is selling over a million a month which is definately not the case.

360 will win but Wii close behind it. 360 just has to many big titles comming out. Mass Effect,Blue Dragon, Forza Bioshock and a bunch of other big titles comming before Christmas. Also can not forget MS's king Halo 3 will be out and that alone will sell a lot of systems. Eltroz

Lets see latest statistics put the Wii at 6.5 million. That would make it about a million a month so yes it is gaining that quickly. And if you want proof of the Wii's popularity in Japan http://n-europe.com/news.php?nid=10346 Basically it is selling out so it is only limited by supply. The Wii also beat out Xbox 360 and PS3 for Easter Week in the UK as well with 25,000. Like it or not, the Wii is on pace to win 2007. The PS3 and Xbox 360 would need to pick it up to steal 2007 at this point.
