A couple of months ago Phil Spencer said MS would be putting a lot more effort in Europe. Have you noticed any change?

I have.

First of all, Xbox Poland has since created a web-series called X&Y with a gaming chick and a guy. They're not the most believable gamers (especially the chick) but hey, somebody put some effort into it.

Secondly, MS cooperates with all the local Xbox-centric outlets, including my blog, more closely, i.e. my friend who is the actual owner of said blog was - along with me - directly involved in coming up with ideas for some contests, giveaways, etc.

He also did some promotional stuff and he's just a blogger.

Anyway, what have you noticed in your country?

Becoming more and more non-existent, as they realize their market will probably never turn a profit over here.

Meanwhile, Sony is increasing its presence by the day. There's well over 15+ branches of Sony World throughout the country.

I think Sony will always dominate globally, but never win the US. MS will always win the US as long as they are producing consoles, it's their turf after all.

I don't live in Europe, but where I do, they somehow took all the wrong steps to locally make themselves a non entity against the PS4 after an extremely strong showing with the Xbox 360, where they led the battle against PS3 until at least 2011 that I know of.

I use Windows, but I don't think that Windows has done anything special for me being in Europe.
I mean, they support my language, but that is not a new thing.

Except from lousy jabs feasts exchange with sony nothing much happening here.

Meanwhile sony within the PGW, there was a never seen before national ads campaign with ps4 everywhere!!!

Have a look :

http://www.gameblog.fr/news/54385-paris-games-week-la-ps4-prend-d-assaut-le-metro-ambiance-mat

And still shown everywhere by now, but on a smaller ( normal ) scale.

No xbone ads to be seen, which quite strange, the only ads campaign i saw, was like 2 years ago.

Agreed but then again I do live under a rock when it comes to gaming news now. The downsides of my job!

Microsoft has really good support here compared to the competition and xbox consoles are the market leaders in both gens.

They haven't done anything in Portugal yet. We're probably too small for them to care.

Microsoft is pulling out of my country completely. I don't see any stores selling Xbox Ones anymore.

Actually they did a pretty aggresive marketing campaign when the Xbone first launched here but despite of that the console was pretty much dead on arrival, in fact its almost certain that even the Vita will outsell the Xbone in its lifetime sales here where I live. Right now they are basically not doing anything to reverse the situation.

Didn't do anything but bring games I want to play. All I had to do was not be dissuaded by all the anti-MS hysteria.

M$ is a lot more open minded and mainstream. A lot of people from different countries work for them. I've met countless people in my life who work for M$ in some way. Haven't met a single Sony guy.

I think the MS EU headquarters are in my country, or atleast they used to be, plus i'm sure a lot of Xbox games were printed here at one point. Suppose that doesn't do much to change their image but meh.

Going by my picture you guessed right Brazil, sony launched the ps4 twice more expensive than the xbox here and their support has been less than ideal, nintendo pulled out of the market altogether due to heavy taxation, the 360 had some 85 % marketshare (cough cough at least half of that cracked consoles) so really microsoft didn't have to do much, just follow up on their lead with more mindhsare and not charge outrageous prices.
