Could somebody list everything that Sony did wrong?

all I know is that they lost the GTA thing, the Devil May Cry 4 thing, Assassins Creed, and Metal Gear Solid 4 is going to Xbox360 but it's timed exclusive like Metal Gear Solid 2 was. Didn't a bunch of PS3 games also score really badly? Which ones where those?

I am still tempted to buy a Playstation 3 though. The thought of the cell CPU is just really cool, and I would also be getting a PC because PS3 runs Linux.

PS3 still rocks in my opinion. After all Sony have never let me down before.

1. Blu ray 2. lack of exclusives meaning whats the point paying more for the same games that will appear on 360. 3. no rumble for early adopters.

They concentrated too much on Blu-ray which does absolutely nothing for games except make the system more expensive.

Someone told me that rumble is last-gen so any game that uses it will feel like playing last-gen games.

*laughs* who told u that? It was probally that idiot Phil Harrison who said that. Is it true that he only said that just to hide the real fact why PS3 wont have rumble from the start?

Sony didn't "lose" anything.  Those developers made a business decision based on the fact that next-gen consoles cost too much to develop for with NO guarantee they will sell more games.  The only way to sell more games is to go multi-plat.

As for what Sony did wrong, they went overboard with the features which made their console WAY to expensive and too difficult for them to make.  Developers didn't even get their final dev kits until like a month before the console came out.  It's no surprise that there were no games and still are sparse.  So you have no games combined with slow sales due to the massive price tag and you have Sony, although well intentioned, biting off way more than they could chew.

$600. You see if they made there console affordable for the everyday person, maybe they wouldnt of lost so many exclusives, and maybe more people would buy it.

They also treated Europe pretty badly, has the PS3 even laucnhed there yet? They also downgraded the Euro PS3...seriously why would you do that?

Blu-Ray is keeping the PS3's price way to high for the average consumer.  But now it is too late to call it off.  Sony has to stick to its plan. Let's just hope that it works.

The better question is, what did Sony did that is right? i think it will be a shorter list compare to "what did sony did wrong?" and you were saying, rumble is last gen...then why is a rumor that sony is bringing back rumble since their court case is settled ? don't be a blind cow...drink some milk and open your eyes

It may suprise you to know that as arrogant as sony is, they aren't the worst one in the industry.  Ask some of the gaming press who the worst of the bunch is when it comes to being stuck-up and I have a feeling that sony is not the answer they will give you.

1. Delay of system. Most likely due to the fact they were forcing a blu-ray player into it 2. Delay of dev-kits. BIG MISTAKE. Some developers did not get their dev kits until Sept. and even November! 3. Loss of rumble 4. Price too high 5. Wireless controllers without a way to access the battery 6. No HDMI cable packed 7. 4080i compatiblility issues 8. Backwards compatibility issues 9. Failure to generate buzz, other than people selling it on ebay. 10. Not released with killer app (debatable) 11. Loss of exclusives 12. Early games with framerate issues 13. Graphic comparisons failed to impress over 360, and in some cases worse. 14. Release two versions. Mistake because 20GB failed (why else would be it discontinued?) 15. Failure to load in background

1-Made a system come out a year later than another system but forgot to make the video card current with the release time. Instead the video card was made a few years prior and left to sit and get dust while the rest of the system was built.

2-Focused on the processor of the system when everyone knows the video card is the heart of the system.

Totally disagree. I dont believe people realized this and this caused them not to buy the system. While this may be true, you had to determine Sony lied about their technology first, and I dont think so many people realized this that it effected sales.

What Sony did wrong can be summed up with one acronym... PS3. Boy did they stick their foot in their ass with that monstrosity. Way to make a gaming console where gaming isn't first priority.

Sony dropped the ball and let crappy MS get away with better gaming hardware in the console so now developers are turning their backs on the PS3.

No. I respectfully disagree. If you mean by developers as an actual developer, few get an actual choice of what console to develop for. If you mean by developer 'Publishing Company', they have to weigh options such as 1) Cost of development 2) Time 3) Ease of development 4) Potential sales for the game release, etc. Its not a case of 'this hardware is inferior. Lets program for 360 because it has better hardware' is not a factor. It comes down to money. If PS3 showed it had the ability to sell a ton consoles, your game has more of potential to sell more.

As much "potential" as Blu-Ray has, Sony brought it, IMO, at least 1 gen to early. And, IMO, not only did they bring it this gen, they forced it on people who might've been interested in the PS3.

well start with  http://www.gamespot.com/pages/forums/show_msgs.php?topic_id=25247543

http://www.gamespot.com/pages/forums/show_msgs.php?topic_id=25401615   they are incomplete but anything you missed you have probably seen on the board recently.  next time ask for the easier list to make,  "what did sony do right".  thats and easy list.  they decided to make a new console that could compete with xbox1 games.  end of list.

Sony hasn't lived up to it's hyped since the PS1...now that game developers has a good choice{console} to make games on....you've now seen developers pack their bags with no regrets.

I think that the biggest thing they did wrong was to lie about the technology and visuals. They turned their fans against them.
