Just wondering if you guys are mad, I am, but I use 360 for any and all multiplats or online games. Thanks360BandWIt's smart, there keeping the core element we have now for free. Charging extra for features that we may or may not want. XBL doesn't even give you an option

Same. I have a 360 and a PS3, never used the feature on the 360. But I want PS3 Premium for other reasons.Still not understanding why this feature is so popular. :?

Well at least we don't need to play to do anything online in game :P
Still it is unknown if it's gonna be in premium or not
Well, I find it odd that Sony would charge for a feature so many have wanted. So cross game chat is finally coming, hooray! But since it's a premium feature, chances are many people won't have it. You may want to chat with some of your friends while playing different games, but then they'll be like 'sorry man, I'm not paying for PSN so I don't have cross game chat'. As a feature many people want, I don't think it's fair to include it exclusively in the premium PSN package.
Sony should have made cross game chat a free feature, but whatever. At least online play will still be free.

It's still not confirmed yet that it's gonna be on premium or not. It's only survey that means nothing to us
I think charging for the feature is fine.
I don't neccessarly need it but if I want it then sure I'll pay for it.

its smart... you can buy a game(lbp,u2,mw2) and press online and you can play free...
but if you are a guy that plays online games the most and like miultiplayer you pay for subscription to have cross-game chat(and other benefits)
if you play 2-3 maps caually every time and prefer single player etc you dont...
if its cheaper than ms its very ok...

If Sony does indeed decide to charge for their crossgame chat, it will show that maybe crossgame chat is very expensive to implement and MAYBE it's why MS went for a subsciption service as the base model for XBL, rather than doing it for free. As far as services go, MS has been far better at looking into the future and knowing what they want XBL to be than Sony has with PSN. It certainly will prove that to be of parity with XBL you will have to spend money after all.
Say what you want about whether you like the feature or not, the truth of the matter is that Sony has been very dodgy about cross game chat's implementation so far. The network's been up and running for at least 2 years and you mean to tell me that they couldn't have figured out how to make it work by now? Somethings up. And it's a pretty big coincidence that as soon as they get really close to saying cross game chat is available, suddenly this idea for subscription services pops up.

I have plenty of friends that play online. I don't understand it, why would I want to be talking to friends when I should be talking to other people in the match I'm playing? Or if I wanted to talk with them, wouldn't I just play the game with them? It doesn't make sense to me. If you're just playing deathmatch, I don't see why you wouldn't want to chat with your friends instead of the random rabble. It may not even be in mulitplayer games. If in single player campaign, it's good to be in touch with your friends no matter what they're doing. Of course, there are times where it's not appropriate, and everyone can use their discretion. But it's a great feature for those situations where you just want to casually yap with your buddies.

But it is next to impossible to game with all of them in the same room. But we can get together and play Borderlands or whatever and talk crap while we are playing. After that we can also decide on whats next and switch to that. Often we use XBL as chat for the PS3. We can then switch back to the 360, all without skipping a beat and never losing contact with each other.[QUOTE="KHAndAnime"] I have plenty of friends that play online. The amount of menu navigating you need to do to start the chat, tell them, and exit the chat, is probably the equivalent of a simply sending them a message. And you don't even have to push yourself onto them by taking over whoever they might already be talking to just to ask them if they want to play.i don't see why not you wouldn't like to talk to your friends while playing different games? No. They will probably be in the same game I am.
