What do you have more of in your library, exclusives or multiplatform?

Chances are, it's multiplats.

So please, don't dismiss them out of comparisons. In fact, they're the only standard in which it's logical to compare the strengths and weaknesses of each system (why we would want to do that in the first place is beyond me, but I digress) considering the fact that they were made by the same developer, using the same engine, with the same visual fidelity target set for both (wheras exclusives were optimized for one console and we'll never know what it would look like on the other console).

Even if you don't want to use them for comparisons (I've heard plenty of illogical reasoning as to why exclusives are better for comparisons than multiplatform games), just enjoy your multiplatform games.

I know I'm fighting a losing (already lost?) battle here but my real aim for this post is,

RELAX AND PLAY YOUR GAMES.

And if for some reason you have more exclusive games than multiplatform, then, well....you're missing out on a lot.

Except your entire argument falls apart when applied to the PC, considering it has the most AAAE's and has far higher visual fidelity. The majority of my library for my PC are exclusive games that look better than what the 360, PS3, or Wii can produce.

i have 16 games on my ps3. 9 multiplatform and 7 exclusives

Multiplats are usually my favourite games.

I mostly have exclusive games. Since that's all I buy on consoles, I buy multiplats on PC but there are only a few multiplats I buy.

Exclusives, by quite alot. However i do have games that were exclusive but are now multi (Lost Planet, Virtua Fighter 5 etc).

Multiplat, but far more exclusives for the X360 though.

Wii all but one is Exclusive, GCN all but 3 are exclusive, PS2 all but 2 are Multiplatform, 360 all but 1 is multiplatform, Dreamcast all but 2 are Multiplatform, PS1 all but I guess one or two games are Multiplatform, N64 most are exclusive. PS3 I have one game and it is Exclusive. I don't know about NES, SNES, and Genesis titles I didn't look.

Exclusives as well...

Sorry to disappont you, but most of my games on all of my systems are exclusives. I have some multiplat games, because as you said, they are good games too, it's just that most of what I've tended to enjoy this gen are quirkier exclusives.

I have more exclusives than multiplats. It seems (after looking) that most of my PC and DS games are exclusives. I still have to replace my PS3, but even it had a lot of exclusives, just not sure how may vs multiplats. My list of PS3 games to get has more exclusives than multiplats. Every DS game I have is exclusive.

If both consoles got equal love and development time from third party studios then it would be fair to compare multiplats, but when a company makes a game for 360 and rushes a port for PS3, I don't think it's fair to use multiplats as the deciding factor as to which console is more powerful.

Also, my library consists more of exclusives.
