as a owner of both the 360 and ps3, I would say Alan Wake. I'm just not feeling the heavy rain hype.
edit: but if the pc version of alan wake is still coming out, I will get that version
Hahaha. Of course!:P Anyway, Alan Wake looks better than Heavy Rain for me right now, though I'm not really excited about the gameplay. I like the art direction, though, and the games 'artistic' feel. As for Heavy Rain, I like how it looks, but the character's voices are HORRIBLE. It just ruins the feel of the game, which I'm disappointed with.:(Honestly? Without putting on me lemming mask? Both. Both look equally awesome.

Alan Wake, but my expectations are low. The E3 demo looked really boring, the action was a large step down from Max Payne, and unless the story is really great I'll probably skip it. But Heavy Rain looks worse, made by the makers of Indigo Prophecy.

I agree, but because you are an Untold Legends supporter your opinion is VOID.Honestly? Without putting on me lemming mask? Both. Both look equally awesome.

this is how i feel alan wake doesn't look that hot but at least it's an actual videogame. heavy rain is just quicktime eventsAlan Wake, but my expectations are low. [QUOTE="darkmoney52"] the action was a large step down from Max PayneCherokee_Jack: \ Not every game they make has to be like Max Payne. You're right, and I never expected Alan Wake to be as trigger-happy as Max Payne. But I did expect, from their previous games, that when there is action in Alan Wake it would be enjoyable. From the look of the E3 demo, that is not the case.
Honestly, my hype meter is pretty low on both anymore.
Alan Wake sounded great... over four years ago. Now that the PC version is in serious doubt, I'd have to rent a 360 for a run though, and I won't bother unless it looks to be a fantastic experience. From what we've seen recently, I'm startig to doubt that will be worth the effort.
My Heavy Rain Hype-O-Meter never got very high to start with... certainly not as high as Alan Wake did. My main interest in Heavy Rain was the deep story line. The gameplay news we've had has tempered what little enthusiasm I had for it. When it comes out I'll likely read more on it, and see what it's all about because atm we still don't know much. But I'm not expecting great things anymore.
Who knows? Both might still surprise me when they release. And I loooove surprises! You don't get many in the gaming world these days:lol:
