I don't think it stands for anything. People have just been using the first letters in the alphabet to rate items for a long time. (A single "A" is supposed to indicate quality, while extra "A"s indicate that it's even more exceptional)

1. AAAA=10
2. AAA=9.0-9.5
3. AA=8.0-8.5
4. A=7.0-7.5
5. 6.0 and under is not worth playing that much
