Seems to me like its nothing more than BF 2.5 on PC. Am I doing it right? The game doesn't bring anything new to the genre other than graphics. The game is almost identical to BF2 in the gameplay department.

I suppose the overall controlscheme is altered, jets and Helis react way differently then they (helis) did in BC2, better overall movement, and the unlock system is tweaked and classees generally fits better.

It is an evolution of the game series, not a revolution. But at the same token, what gmaes these days really is?

The maps may be bigger, and it may look better. Apart from that I have no good ideas to what may be better or new. Generally seems that alot of console gamers did not think too highly of BC2, and likely not BF3 either (good thing they focused on PC then, eh?)

They did themselves a huge disservice tho, Beta for most console people equates to early access to MP (as in NOT really a beta, more of a demo of sorts) Where as the BF3 Beta REALLY was a beta.

Prone? Still it seems to me that in terms of new material, outside of a new engine BF3 on consoles offers just about as much new material as a Call of Duty game. On consoles of course.

I think I might cancel my BF3 Pc preorder... It just doesn't hold my interest anymore. I know it was a beta, but the fundamental gameplay will not change in a month, and it just wasn't exciting as I hoped. All the PC gamers hyped this as the end of online gaming, and it was just dissapointing.

Yep

Not many games have this feature so it's very innovative.

Have you played Caspean Border? Cause it was a kickass map. That **** metro garbage ruined the beta initially for me.

Yea. I do mean BF2, not BC2. Despite me only displaying my GT now, i was an avid BF player on PC. The game feels the same for me as it did in BF2. In my opinion 2142 was the epitome of BF.

It doesn nothing new on any system, but doing something new isn't necessary for a game to be good. At the same time, I don't think it's going to do very much well either.

Nothing new on either PC or console. It is an evolution of the game, which I'm fine with.

If it's Bad Company 2.5 on consoles, than it's Bad Company 2.5 on PC. Besides graphical differences, the only difference is the player count for Conquest maps.

If anything, its Bad Company 1.5, because it is inferior to Bad Company 2.

I dont care about new guns/pretty graphics. I want some new gametypes in BF that make me feel like Im progressing in a tug of war. Conquest doesnt do this, and rush is one sided. I want a gametype that plays like rush but without the stupid sites and one-sided gameplay. I want the defenders to be able to push the other team back, this is the kind of stuff that differenciates the games, not new guns, graphics, and maps. Sadly, Dice has not tried anything truly original since 2142 with the Titan game mode.

Would be the same for the PC then. BC2 2.5. There isn't much new to it anyway. Just graphics and jets. Hopefully a fun campaign this time.

Yeah I did. While I admit it's fun, I don't know I'm just not enthusiastic about it. Maybe it's my current phase, I don't even feel like playing BC2 anymore so I guess I should keep the preorder despite my current computer not being able to run it AT ALL (went to friends and played Bf3 60fps). Hopefully a desktop for xmas will come true

I played the Beta on both console and PC and tbh, I found nothing different between the two versions cosmetically. However, the PC version just feels more right as far as controls go. I am a lifelong console gamer but am in the process of trying to perfect my use of the M/KB and even at my level of skill, the control is much more fluid on PC. Now, when I played Caspian Border towards the end of the Beta, I was sold. I simply cannot fathom how the console version of this game can possibly have the same impact as the PC version did with the 32 Vs. 32 set up. I think the console version will simply be more BC3 than BF3 in the grand scheme of things.

It isn't just what he wants. EA wants to make BF this heavy hitter franchise, but they fail in the content department compared to every other option of MP out there. That's pretty difficult to do. What's even more ridiculous is that it seems most people who play the game only like one mode or the other, thus making it have even less content.
