It looks like Call of Duty with awesome graphics.
I know this is the alpha version, but what does it offer that is new.

There were only 5 people in that match, so it would be hard to tell from that match. The gunplay, sense of weight, art direction, warzone, and how it epically conveys chaos is what differentiates this game from other shooters. From the video I watchedhttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kw0szy_EPEw

'the Warzone' is original in itself
all game modes interchange seamlessly without loads screens or stoppage of play.
it really creates the feeling of WAR with a moving battle across the map.
Also the feel of the guns...really makes the game stand out. You don't feel like your gun is a cardboard cutout like on COD. It has real kick back. The recoil is vastly different from any fps game I've played.
Your movement also isn't like you are on skates...KZ3 seems a little faster but it still seems to have that weighty feel with movement. Your character feels like he is actually on the ground with gravity.
its just different. I suggest you wait to try KZ3 to judge..its only 4 months away.
I think the Melee's are unique too. No other FPS game I know has context sensitive Melee's in FP view. (I could be wrong on that one though)
What new does Call of Duty offer? Yet it's still fun. Crazy how this world works.UCF_Knight
Not saying it wont be fun, it looks fun, but nothing revolutinary.
Cod is kind of the "new thing" which is why so many devs copy off it.
''Warzone plays out through dynamic matches where multiple game types are played in a single round''
operation a story based objective mode
first person cover
recoil
being cool/badass
in a killzone 2 its different story wise because you are the aggressor
weighted controls
motion support
rico:P
a shooter is a shooter is a shooter..nothing new just looks good and probably fun as any other shooter. Hope it sells well. Looks good.
How could I forget... First Person Cover system too...that is my favorite thing from KZ2. (oops that's in Single player only)''Warzone plays out through dynamic matches where multiple game types are played in a single round''

I don't expect every game to be revolutionary though. Seems those that do are often the most disappointed.[QUOTE="kussese"]
The key to making a good FPS isn't doing new things, it's doing things well.

This is exactly right. It does classes pretty well and that is something a lot of games can't get right.
I felt Killzone 2 could have used better class uniqueness, but I guess that's why they lowered the number to 5 in KZ3. It just seemed to lack the whole "different experience" for every class like games such as TF2 and BC have done, although the last 3 classes felt pretty unique. Otherwise Engineer, Medic, Tech and the like just felt like a soldier with perks and less weapons to me. It probably wasn't the best choice to have a class with most of the weapons(Soldier), because it took away from the others.

Well I don't know about you guys, but the only way I would buy a FPS game or a game for the matter of fact is if it is not a generic game and it's also fun to play :)well, abilities (not perks) Warzone (changes 'game modes/objectives' on the fly) Mechs jetpacks (Vertical Combat type maps) (reach does this too i think?) Classes an actual Clan System unlike how cod does it (put tag on...ur in a clag.. TADA!!)campzor
I was just about to mention the clan system. The clan wagering was cool too.

He said other shooters, not just CoD.
