PC has a lot of AAEs this year, but only 1 AAAE, which is The sims 3.

I'm still waiting for Starcraft 2...and that's not coming out til next year unless Blizzard decides to delay the game for another year.

LAN support or lack therof isn't a concern to me, although the announcement has disappointed the majority of SC fans.

What consolites fail to realize is that PC games have higher standards, and therefore it is harder for them to get AAAE. KZ2 on PC wouldn't even have been AE, and ODST would have probably scored 6.0.

But yeah the PC hasn't had an amazing year this year. Hopefully torchlight can fix that. Also, seeing as how most games are multiplat, and almost all multiplats play better on the PC, you could make the case that borderlands will be GotY.

Sims 3, Empire: Total War, Warhammer: 40,000, ARMA II, Cryostasis and probably some others I can't think of.

I doubt these'll get it though, 2009 was a great year for consoles. Pretty slow for PC.

I would say empire total war, I captured the entire map. I loved it.

KZ2 wasn't that great for me. It was good but I thought the campaign could have been slightly better and the characters less douche like.

The thing that sets the game apart IMO is the multiplayer. I really liked the class system and would love to see a PC version of it(I know class systems have been done to death already ie BF2, TF2, etc but the KZ2 one doesn't have any glaring balance issues after the nerf to assault class and it would be perfect for deathmatch type competitions).

This thread is pathetic if you ask me. The PC still has the most AAE's this year, and Still has the most AAAE's and AAE's this gen. Please come back when the PS3 or 360 manages to get 70 AAE's and 12 AAAE's

If Shattered Horizon releases this year like planned, then it would be PC's bestchance for aGOTY(though I get a feeling it wont make it until early next year because the final stage of beta is just started a week or two ago).

lol thats classic. yeah why don't you go ahead and pop in the latest and greatest game you own U2 and see how long that keeps you busy until you get bored with it, and trying to play matchmaking on your shoddy host connections and small instal base. on the other hand I don't need the latest and greatest to get my fix and feeling of superiority. b/c its obvious ps3 fanboys have a graphics inferiority complex where they feel the need to compare every new game as better than crysis. I have a larger number of games to choose from to play whereas those on the console can only play the newer games b/c all the older games communities died out. So i could care less if you want to praise yourGOTY you spent $60 dollars on to play a 7hr campaign. Ill be playing the better version of any and all multiplat games with a better community. So have fun with your U2 while it lasts then i guess i'll hear back from you when GOw 3 comes out when youll pay another 60 bucks for a 7 hr campaign rofl have fun.

This year has been mostly multiplats. Its been a slow year for pc I'll give you that. Next year will change though with C&C4,SC2,WoW Cataclysm, BF3. Unless of course they don't start delaying them yet again.

I hope we see Project Offset, and Guild Wars 2 next year, also Supcom 2.

Oh It could still be a contender, last year Left 4 dead got 8.5 and was still a GOTY contender, there are some amazing 8.5s. But the thing against it being a contender is that it was released too early in the year.
