Playing Left 4 Dead one and two with friends is a totally unique experiece. You laugh, you learn, you hate ZOEY for startling the witch. The graphics are cool. The death animations are awesome. Shooting hordes of zombies, tanks, Smokers, Jockeys, Witches, Hunters, Boomers, and all of the uncommon common. New guns, chainsaws katanas, frying pans, etc. Its really fun. Alright by yourself, but its ment to be played as a team. And when you do its like nothing else :) I havent heard of a Ps3 game like that.
There is no game that is like L4D on the PS3. Admit, that's the only reason you made this thread. The closest experience to having lots of fun with three other friends on the PS3 is LBP, but it's an entirely different game than L4D.
iwas unaware L4D was fun. the first one was so boring, havent played the second one yet, but imo i think COD5's nazi zombies is way for fun than L4D
Ya know, I had a feeling today was backwards day when my girlfriend called me a selfish idiot. She's such a kidder :) hey left4dead is boring as hell for me. i like nazi zombies more because its more tense in the fact you only get hit twice and you die and you just cant get away with with doing stupid stuff, in left4deadthe only enjoyment i got was pissing off the witches and even then the thirll hardly lasted. its all opinion buddy. plus nazi zombies "secret" songs in the game are so baddass. and as long as i like it i dont care anyone thinks.

Did you just actually mention graphics in turn for L4D being more fun on the Xbox 360 ? Jesus, PS3 fanboys are going all the way now a days aren't they. Graphics aren't fun. They help with being immersed in the game, nothing more. The Xbox 360 is a better console just because of the good splitscreen games they have that are actually fun. Halo 3 /ODST, Gears of War 1-2 and Left 4 Dead make up for it all. You don't get that kind of experience on your own.
Im seeing a lot of Ps3 titles with no Zombies. Oh and for those who say its not tense. Stop playing on Easy/Normal. Playing on expert is a freaking nightmare. Also, why odes valve get strategic with the freakin zombies. First they throw a tank at you. Someone gets knocked really far away into a witch. The witch one shots u. Someone kills the tank and the witch. One of the 2 people standing is getting ammo and the one getting the other one up gets huntered. Someone tries to shoot the hunter and gets smokered lol. Good times =D

You are being quite specific with the type of game you want.
A couple of my friends who only have PS3 always want to play L4D when they come over. It does get a little stale if you try to have a marathon session though.
Resistance 2's online co op is a blast with friends. Up the difficulty to Superhuman and get some friends together and it's a blast (assuming your friends aren't terrible at the game)

If you want fun on split screen on ps3 then you have to play Warhawk splitscreen online with 32 players. That was the go to game whenever I had friends over. Everyone that played it loved it.
I'd say in terms of coop fun, R2 is great stuff. I haven't tried Uncharted 2's coop yet but from the beta it was pretty great.
