What does the PSP need to do to get your attention?

imo it has one of the best future lineups of any system this gen, so what's it going to take?

I need to buy it, it's the only system I don't have this gen.

It needs a good game out TOMORROW. Most of the future titles don't come out for a while and PSP is still collecting dust in my drawer.

If my PSP were to deck me in the face it would certainly grab my attention.

Otherwise me and my DS are always bonding :P

I wouldn't call the Syphon Filter series a shooter because it has stealth elements and you have to explore certain areas. I would call it an Action game but then again I'm just nitpicking :P. This thread is nice. I got a Psp 2 months ago (for free btw) and don't really know what to buy right about now. Peace Walker made me want to keep it instead of a DS.

I was about the get a PSP but then then the PSPGo came around and it costs way too much so now I'll just wait for the holidays and hopefully Go will be cheaper after it's launch flops due to price. =)

My iphone is capable of just as good graphics and I always have it anyway. The PSP needs to be more than just a PSP for me to buy it.

I don't know. I have played all of those games almost but for some reason no matter how many games there are on the PSP it just feels dead for some reason. The PSP should be something I play all the time but the only things I use it for are movies and PSPRevolution.

That list looks great written down but Wipeout games get very boring quicky and I just didn't like Jean D'arc, Super stardust, The Socom games, Loco Roco,Gitaroo Man, Ghosts N Goblins and Megaman remakes do not interest me, Outrun and Ridge Racer games, Metal Gear Acid, The Warriors, or Street Fighter.

I didn't like the way Resistance had its cover system or the lock-on. I don't like how much attnetion you have to pay to Patapon its like you can't blink because you have to keep the rythym going. I love Disgaea games but I didn't like Prinny because I did not like the jumping at all it just didn't feel right and the bosses were not fun. Marvel Ultimate Alliance was not that great of a version of the game if you played the other console's versions. I liked FF: Tactics on GBA but the PSP one had the most boring story ever. Crush got boring pretty fast too, the Crush mechanic got boring pretty fast. Pirates just wasn't that good I don't get why people liked it. I'm not very fond of Street Fighter games and The Warriors was okay I guess. Lastly, Idespised the switching instruments in Rock Band,

But Crisis Core, God of War, Metal Gear Solid, Lumines, Disgaea and Dracula X were excellent games. Echochrome was pretty good too but I though it was too difficult later on in the game. The Syphon Fitler games were very very good as well. Twisted Metal and Tekken 5 were great too. Killzone Liberation needed a lock on but it was still a very underrated game.

But other than that the rest are kind of ehh. And Ratchet and Clank and Daxter were very good but far too short. And your upcoming games are all coming out over a very long period of time most of which have yet to even have a release date or any gameplay footage. So for me your list is severely cut into a very small amount of games.

Yeah there are too many remakes and ports on PSP. And just because over its entire lifespan the PSP has had some good games doesn't mean that people want to play every old PSP launch title. When I am looking to buy a new game I don't want to buy some game made back in 2005, I want to get a recently released game. The PSP just doesn't have anything coming in the near future.

My bor has one. When i get a job maybe ill pick some games up.

More great games which based on Sony's conference will certainly happen within the next year.

PSP has already impressed me. My first broke though and I'm not planning to get a new one until next year.

Which is why I find it funny when some say that the PSP has the best line up of 09 when half the year is over and there still nothing worth buying.

My PSP slim is packed away somewhere :|.. All it does is collect dust

i find the PSP to big to be portable. its not pocket size. and i find it totall pointless using a hand held console when im sat in the same room as my 360 and PS3 and my 42" TV. thats why i prefer my iphone. the games may not be as good (yet) but its always with me and the game that are on it are great for a 30 min bus ride.

PSP GO would of been perfect, but is too expensive in the UK.

It would need a strong line-up of WRPGs and adventure games for me to want one...so yeah, that'll never happen.

Some actual good games for a change would be nice. I have one, but it's been collecting dust since 2005.
