I don't understand it. It sounds silly. Why couldnt Nintendo just put a 2? Maybe the U is used because it puts emphasis on you as an individual hence the lack of support for more than 2 Wii U pads. Or maybe it describes the Wii U as being: -Underpowered -Uninspiring -Unwanted -Undesirable -Unappealing What do you think?
It stands for Unnecessary piece of crap that no one is going to buy because all sheep want to play are mario and zelda rehashed crap. Wii U buy and store in closet for years and never use?
Unimaginative. It's ball numbing to think how they came up with such a crappy and confusing name. They probably thought they could live of the initial success of the Wii brand but little did they know that Wii was just a fad that got boring pretty fast. Nobody's gonna buy a Wii U when their Wii spent 99% of its time collecting dust. Same with kinect.
