Poll What dormant franchise would you like to see Sony bring back the most? (54 votes)
Sony has so many great IPs - which one would you like to see come back the most? I think now would be a great time for a Killzone reboot, but what do I know!

I don’t have much experience playing most of those games,I’d have to go with SP or Socom? Both are solid exclusives.
What, no Jet Moto!? I would love to see a new VR jet Moto game where you actually reach out to use the electro grapple/tether thing. It would be intense.
Multiplayer needs brought back to the greatness that it was during the PS3 era.
Warhawk, SOCOM- make new entries that are free-to-play.
Resistance, Killzone- just reboot them at this point. Paid titles. Remaster both PS3 trilogies with online servers first.
Littlebigplanet 4- couch and online co-op, full creator tools.
Remaster ModNation Racers and make it a PSN only title.
Remaster Uncharted 2 and 3 MP as PSN only titles.
Motorstorm reboot, paid title.
I think they should bring back Jumping Flash! and make it where you don't actually do anything other than slow walking sections with an older Jumping Flash! Who acts as a wounded warrior to little Jumping Flash! And eventually they learn from each other. (and stuff)
Spend most of the money on that mocap shit. Be great.
SOCOM. Then, Resistance, Twisted Metal, or Warhawk.
It would never happen, but I would love to see them remake Lair. Mainly just to see if they could get it right this time. But also because dragons are cool.
That and Super-Rub-a-Dub would fantastic 😊
@oof85: I didn't hate SotC, but I honestly don't understand the love. The mechanic of climbing giant monsters and stabbing them in specific locations is fine, but after that, what are you doing? You basically just ride around in an empty world, find big thing, kill big thing, rinse and repeat. How does that make this game worthy of all the praise it gets? At least other games give you something to fight on the way to the boss.
Resistance Fall of Man was a fun time. The second one was better if memory serves. The third was good too, but I don't think it was great. I would like to see it come back.

The game Sony got sued over?

bunch of sony movie games release on PC but the one Im interested in ie Resistance doesnot see PC release.
Unlikely, but:
An all-in-one Patapon trilogy remaster collection, they stupidly released the first 2 of 3 on PS4 via drip feed and either forgot to make the 3rd game, did the "it didn't sell enough so we didn't bother with the last game", or Sony Japan Studio closed up shop before it could be completed.
Shadow of the Colossus - I know games that get remade/remastered all the time earn eye rolls and ridicule, but this is a game I'd still like to see made even better at every chance that's available. And I know we got the Ico/SoTC remaster on PS3 and SoTC remaster/remake on PS4... I'd still love to see what can be done with this on PS5.
Motorstorm - a remaster collection of the original and Pacific Rift would be great but Apocalypse can **** right off.
@mysticaldonut: Hmmm. I did not know that. Thank you for the knowledge nugget 👍 That's a lame thing to do, but so is putting out a game in that kind of jank-ass state. I didn't hate what I played of Lair, but it was not a good release, and deserved the scores it got. But I still think there's potential with the theme. Flying in on a giant dragon and tearing threw a bunch of enemies sounds pretty fun to me.
@davillain: I've never played Parasite Eve, but I've always been curious. PS1 games like that are the remakes I would like to see first. Some PS2/3 games would be cool too, but I much prefer to see the classics brought back. And not stuff from four years ago.

@mysticaldonut: Haha, that's ridiculous. Maybe sending your busted game into the world early isn't the best move 🤔 I wonder what exactly was said in that guide.
This was also when they were lying that rumble wasn't in the controllers because it messed up the motion controls, right? When it was actually that they were being sued by the owners of the rumble tech.
Bring my boys Jak & Daxter back. I loved the dynamics these two had together. Honestly, I would be happy to have any of them revived though. Sony has such a good catalogue just sitting there.
@iambatman7986: I was thinking that too. Sony’s gone full throttle with the mature titles. Would be great to have some lightheartedness again.

Something like that.
2006 - 2009 was pretty rough for Sony. Game wise, PR wise, consumer trust wise. Thankfully MGS4, Uncharted 2, God of War 3 and QoL updates to the PS3 helped improve that by the end.
@mysticaldonut: Yeah, first party was light in the first couple years, but I still had a blast. Resistance and Warhawk occupied a decent chunk of that for me. Several smaller download titles: PixelJunk Monsters, Super Stardust HD, Super Sonic Acrobatic Rocket Powered Battle Cars, Pain, etc. The evolving store, hddvd vs blu-ray format wars, Bluetooth headsets...it was like the wild west. Smiles and cries, but at least it wasn't boring. And within a year of launch, CoD4 came out, and dominated a whole year of my gaming. Definitely improved over time, but there was still fun to be had in the early days.

The first couple years were decent with few first party releases inbetween.....Resistance, Motorstorm and Warhawk definitely carried. Ratchet and Clank Tools of Destruction and Uncharted Drake's Fortune were nice single player experiences. I say it really didn't kick off til 2008 with MGS 4 though. 2011 was probably my favorite year for PS3: Motorstorm Apocalypse, inFAMOUS 2, Resistance 3, Killzone 3, Uncharted 3, SOCOM 4, Littlebigplanet 2. There was a first party release almost every month! The final year (2013) was great as well- The Last of Us, Puppeteer, Gran Turismo 6 and Beyond Two Souls.
PS3 is often considered the red-headed stepchild of the PlayStation family which is funny to me because it had so many exclusives and so many different genres of games.

I completely agree. Honestly, it's probably my favorite PlayStation console. I played it way more than any of the others.
