What ever happened to little big planet?

i mean damn....the game was made out to be the messiah on here and other message boards

but i haven't heard jack since the game actually came out....

i mean, i was expecting to see the internet explode with people posting things about it, i was expecting all of my friends to get it, and i was expecting to feel "pressured" into buying it, like with some big name games. so what the hell happened?

and now theres this news that any levels that infringe on copyrights are deleted without notification. so goodbye all homage levels and recreations (aka no more sotc levels). i mean, hell, i used to have some desire to actually get this....but not really anymore

and how has the game been selling?

Most games aren't brought up after they release. Gears 2 and Fable 2 aren't mentioned much either.

Most games are hyped and discussed before they are out. Once they are out, not much else to talk about them in the SW context of talking about games.

The game is surprisingly addicting. You can be on there all day just playing the campaign and playing created levels... I havn't even tried the level creatorCouth_

So i was never impressed with the game, i never even wanted to buy it. My friends kept pressuring me into to buying it so one day i did. MOST BORING GAME I HAVE EVER PLAYED IN MY LIFE! The plat forming sucks, and the gameplay is very boring. I tried playing some levels online and the only ones i had fun playing were the ones that get you fast fast trophies. SO i think this is one of the most boring games i have ever played.

In conclusion i traded it on friday and helped pay for my GeoW2. Greatest game this gen.

that the most successful levels are simply the ones designed to get you every trophy really quickly

i was on a message board were a whole lot of people were complaining that stuff was deleted that they weren't even aware it was copying something

apparently its the users who report the levels as copies. I heard you can't even reference the ps3 in any levels

I actually feel sorry for Media Molecule. I hope they branch out to other systems and make some real money and more recognition for all their hard work. Also I think $60 USD is too much for this game. They should've atleast sold the single player mode over PSN for like $20 bucks or something.

Once games are out on any platform, there is little reason to talk about them, since they have released, so no new info. They are reviewed, so no new hype threads. That is the extent to what most games are talked about on SW.

A little bit. Some of the better levels are homage levels. I.E.: Mission Arkham and Libidius.jp.

400k units in 2 weeks is actually really good. Most games struggle and never make it to 1 million units sold, so to be 2/5ths of the way there in 2 weeks, and before the Holidays, is very respectable.

Why people think it has to sell Gears 2 or Halo 3 numbers to be successful is beyond me.

Those are absolutely the worst levels IMO. If you cannot find fantastic levels, I would argue that you are not looking hard enough.
