gundam would be ok another star wars would be awesome i really think a harry potter like mmo would be coolios or even a eragon mmo like people could fly on dragons 2 people on a dragon think any game could turn out to be an mmo.
question is what would make the best one?Â
For those suggesting GTA, check out APB, which is coming out next year and is by the guys who did Crackdown.
I was thinking KOTOR myself.Â

There was (I don't know if there still is) already a Star Wars MMO.Â
[QUOTE="Sagacious_Tien"]star wars already has an MMOYeah. Let Obsidian or Bioware make one though. The one that's out there, quite frankly, sucks. For those suggesting GTA, check out APB, which is coming out next year and is by the guys who did Crackdown.

im 19 and i would love a pokemon game lol i been waiting for a long time to be in a game where hundreds of pokemon are everywhere you can catch them tons of trainers everywheres WOW POKEMON MMO I WOULD LIKE THAT MORE THAN WOW.dcm06I wasnt saying that older people wouldnt play it. I was saying that it would apeal to younger kids more than an MMO should.
My main ideas ideas : 1. Dune. I will pay $50 a month for this. MAKE IT! 2. An MMO around the Sith Wars in KOTOR. 3. Wheel of Time. 4. StarCraft, we know it will happen eventually. 5. SMT : Nocturne - Weird idea but think about all of the demon races and it could be set right after the world is destroyed. 6. GTA 7. Fallout My backup ideas : 1. Mario - Hear me out. It would be based in the mushroom kingdom and have races and factions available. It would be a cuter MMO but could do very well. Problem is I don't see the Mario crowd jumping for it. 2. Jurassic Park - Rampaging Dinosaurs and lots of guns. Rawr 3. Mechwarrior - Mech customization and battling in a persistent Universe.IbacaiDune would be killer. but I doubt it would be that successful. the universe is just to complicated for people to really get into without reading teh books.

fallout would be perfect. they have everything to make it a good MMO. great story, characters, environment. all this talk about fallout in SW makes me reminisce on how awesome fallout 1 and 2 are only thing i hate about fallout was the loading times.

Yeah, it would be a financial failure because most MMO's just require you to hit stuff. This MMO would be very dialogue heavy. All of the political intrigue, schemes, factions, and society overtones. It would be a dream come true for me.

the two best IPs for MMos: Warhammer40K and World of Darkness are already being translated to MMOs :)
from other stuff: I think Forgotten realms would make a hugely successful MMO, I have no idea why Turbine took Eberron when making DnDOnline instead of FRÂ
I believe Turbine went with Eberron because of the fact that it was cheaper to get, not well known, and the ability to make it a smaller dungeon crawler. A game set in Faerun would require it to be huge and involved. Something I don't think Turbine could afford at that time.the two best IPs for MMos: Warhammer40K and World of Darkness are already being translated to MMOs :)

Sorry for the n00b question but what the hell is MMO stand for? Massive Multiplayer Online? Shouldn't it be Massive Online Multiplayer, MOM?SergeantSnitchNope, it's correct the way it is... Massively Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game It's "massively" multiplayer, not "massively" online. Get it?
Ahhh, yea I understand now. And yea, MOM would sound pretty weird.SergeantSnitchThat and the fact that the MOM acronym would cause very awkward conversational moments. "How many MOM's you played lately John?" "Not to many, most are a real grind." "Yeah, but it pays off in the end when you get all the phat lootz." "I just don't understand why I have to pay to have a little fun with MOM's." Yup, I actually thought through this. I have plenty more too. I don't know why.
