@SolidGame_basic: Extremely happy. Though MGS3: Snake Eater is my least favourite of 1-5, and I was hoping they'd remake MGS1 first as I never got to experience it new in 1998 - I really tried getting into it in the early 2000s but just couldn't... even in like 2002-2003 it was really hard going back to MGS1 and PS1 graphics since I played MGS2 first back in 2001.
but Snake Eater first cause of the franchise's chronology makes sense.
And hey, my least favourite Metal Gear is still a 9.5/10 easily lol.
Can't wait. I love remakes.
Edit: I am a little worried that Konami will **** it up. Unlike more modern PS3 remakes like Dead Space and The Last of Us, MGS3 is in dire need of more remaking than just the graphics and audio.
We need the MGS4/MGS5 camera movement and third person action controls. A sprint button, same aim layout etc.
MGS5 still to this date has the best stealth gameplay combat mechanics of any videogame - I hope Konami can re-create similar combat without Kojima. (and of course the developers who are now at Kojima Productions)
Not only combat... if they give us MGS4/MGS5 combat they'll have to redesign the levels and enemy AI / encounters to keep it balanced. It's not an easy job by any means.
I mean look at Naughty Dog with all their talent... they didn't bother adding the dodge/prone mechanics to TLOU from TLOU2 which would have made the remake so much better. Because that would require redesigning both the levels and enemies/encounters...
We all know Kojima and his team could easily remake this into a modern 10/10 by 2024 standards... But can Konami?
