For me it's a game that didn't even come out this year: Fallout 4. I've clocked over 30 days worth of hours in all, and I haven't even finished the Nuka World dlc. Yes, that's pretty ridiculous. I agree.
So which game has eaten up your hours?

I'm not sure but I'm going to guess it's Overwatch.
Although Fire Emblem Fates also took me a while to complete.
To my surprise it's DiRT Rally with over 166hrs then second Forza Horizon 3, 130hrs, but i will go back to FH3 whereas i'm done with DiRT.
I was on backlog duty for most of 2016. Games I finally finished:
STALKER: Call of Pripyat
Metro Last Light
Metro 2033 Redux
Half-Life 2
-----
The regulars I play most of the time: Far Cry 3 and Far Cry 4, Aerofly FS, Crysis Warhead (laptop), Bioshock (laptop)
The only 2016 game I bought and finished: Doom 2016
Currently having a blast with: Fallout 4
The only other game that can tear me away from Fallout 4 will be Doom 2016. I'll be alternating between slow n fast.
For console, I say uncharted 4. The singleplayer its just a 15 hour journey but played a lot of multiplayer.
For handheld its a tie between vita and 3ds. On vita I played a lot of jrpg, and jrpg usually is a 50 hour journey. On 3ds is persona q, replayed the game 3 times just to beat the velvet trio.
Rocket League....
:/
Battle field kind gets old, too slow of a progression.
I didnt get into TF2's multiplayer.
U4 multiplayer is trash, just now I started playing again for the co-op mode that not even that fun either.
I play a bunch of other games that were one and done.
You need to hop on the Saturn Japanese train man, I just ordered this last night.
The Saturn is a fighting game masterclass.

I really should get a Saturn. I have two games for it and no system to play them on. (they're Darkstalkers 2 and Primal Rage)

They're cheap, just make sure to get an Action Replay Plus and hop in.
This thread will also help you out with Japanese games, it explains which ones you can and cannot play not understanding the language.

It's either Age of Wonders III or Skyrim; both are now the only games I own with over 1,000 hours of playtime on Steam - which is 600 more than the next game down. Both can be attributed to mods.
I haven't played much of either lately, though.
I've had 12 hours of game time in Fallout 4 today. It's almost 2 AM and I'm still going. ;) No problem. I'm on vacation until the 3rd of January.
Civilization VI and Path of Exile, also done completing S.T.A.L.K.E.R: Shadow of Chernobyl and S.T.A.L.K.E.R: Call of Pripyat for the second time.
I have such a hard ass time deciding which one of them i prefer; SoC is much more atmospheric, with many more memorable monster encounters and better interior exploration. While CoP is far more polished mechanically speaking, with a more realized open world design and a lot of game design choices that make the overall experience more pleasurable and easier to get into.
They're both similar - but at the same time - significantly different games and they both have negative and positive aspects that cancel each other out in my eyes to a perfect tie and it just boils down to what you personally prefer.
I guess a decent analogy to make is that SoC is more of a "experience" while CoP is more of a "game".
