My picks- Actraiser (Wii U or NX with full 3D graphics ala Darksiders style), Heavy Rain (I know...but it had a damn good story), Shinobi (On X1 or PS4), Streets of Rage. (why hasn't this been rebooted)

Full console reboot, re-building on the original game with more modern popular culture references and political issues, and some good, NOT chest high walls third person stealth-shooting.
I would buy a PS4 for this game.
Jak and Daxter
I absolutely hate Ratchet n Clank.
Vampire The Masquerade - Bloodlines
These two
Assuming that they were done right:
Dark Forces/Jedi Knight, X-Wing/Tie Fighter, Rogue Squadron, Republic Commando, Streets of Rage, Aleste, Thunder Force, Alien Soldier, Trouble Shooter, Gunstar Heroes, Guardian Heroes, NiGHTS, Panzer Dragoon, Burning Rangers, NFL 2K, Mega Man X/ZX/Legends, Age of Mythology, Quake, Pulseman, Klonoa, Chrono, etc.
The Jedi Knight series needs a reboot for canon purposes. I just want more Outcast/Jedi Academy gameplay.
Too many but for now I'll just say Road Rash.
WTF EA, this one has seamed like a no-brainer for a decade or more.

Super Mario 64.
Not an audio or visual remaster, but simply adapting the game to the current controller setup and presentation. The game could be tweaked to improve the camera and offer 16:9 support, along with perhaps a timer as it is one of the biggest games in speedrunning. I'm surprised Nintendo didn't do this with the wiiu release. They could have even gone as far as releasing the game on disk with these improvements for $39.99.
I would like too see a reboot of an old N64 game called "Blast Corps".....fun non-cerebral game that was unique in its time.

Just so happens Rare will announce the sequel at E3 :P
It was dev'ed by Rare but J/K about it being at E3 but who knows, it could be since as far as I know the new Rare game has been a very well kept secret thus far.
I feel that this series has some serious untapped potential that's been wasted. The platforming in these games were way better than in Ratchet and Clank alongside it being open world, and I loved the look of the world, it was like fantasy steampunk. The concept art that Naughty Dog had for a new one looked beautiful. Just borrow strafing and some cool weapons from Ratchet and Clank and it's already way better. Daxter is also adorable.
I'd really like a sci-fi game with an emphasis on piloting cool vehicles. Please Sony London, this has potential. Could work well with Morpheus as well. If they wanna get ambitious, make it like a sci-fi GTA where you play as the police but with cool vehicles.
Warhawk on the PS3 was one of the best mutliplayer games I've ever played on a console, maybe even counting PC. It was a ton of fun, well balanced, skill-oriented, huge maps, great cosmetic player customization, had a dedicated community for quite some time, flying the warhawk was a ton of fun and the controls for it were perfect, made you feel like a god in the sky.
We'll definitely be getting a sequel to this which is great. Itsuno is one of the few people left at Capcom capable of creating a great game. DMC4 featured some downright superb, near-perfect combat, arguably the best in the genre (and it's from 2008!). The game suffered from a rushed development cycle that resulted in poor level design and a large part of the game just being recycled content. With proper development time, DMC5 has the potential to become the best character action game of all time.
Featured probably the best gameplay in a third-person shooter. Would be a shame if we didn't get a sequel. Just needs to have a longer campaign and hopefully a non-shit story.
This is the game that managed to spawn its own genre (MOBAs) through mods. It's still my favorite RTS campaign/story of all time. I'd really like for the Warcraft story to continue outside of an MMO and for WoW to just be retconned, the story has really suffered from being an MMO.

That's a damned impressive list. I'd love to see a Vanquish sequel on X1 and PS4. Binary Domain was kinda Vanquish-esque; but not the same. And of course, Dante's Inferno is long overdue.
@XboxStache: I actually read the title and thought "this is the ACTRAISER thread..." you, sir... Nailed it.
I only differ in the sense that I would want a straight reboot of the games approach, 2d platforming and top down world creation sim.... I'd just crank it up to 10. The design was so beyond its years and it holds up today. I want more.
@TheEroica: Any Actraiser would do. Why o' why is Nintendo afraid of touching that masterpiece? :( Thanks.
@XboxStache: well... Quintet developed it for Enix back in the day... I'm wondering if Nintendo has a claim on it or if it's sitting on a dusty shelf at Square Enix somewhere. Either way, my mind is boggled that this design was never touched again.

Nah SquareEnix owns the rights to it and it's one of the many things Square could go back to, but Square gonna Square.
They also have access to things like Terranigma and Illusions of Gaia, but will they do cool things with those games? NOPE
