What game this year derserve 2016's GOTY?

Fire Emblem Fates or Pokemon Moon, i cant decide yet. O snap, i picked both.

Forza Horizon 3

Doom easily. its best FPS in last 10 years and easily best game released this year too.

Runner would be Hitman which i think should be on poll too.

Doom 2016 GOTY and follow by, Uncharted 4 & Gears of War 4.

Street Fighter V is my choice. My game of the gen so far.

I'll give nods to Pokemon Moon, Overwatch, and Dark Souls 3.

Hitman, Forza Horizon 3 and Inside need to be on the list.

Dishonored 2

possibly one of the best games of the last decade.

Uncharted 4 got my GOTY.

It's my favorite series but they did such a great job wrapping up the main character's story arc that I'm ok with the series ending (at least for a while). I loved the story.

That said, the multiplayer side was the biggest F-up that I've ever seen Naughty Dog pull. Severely lacking in content including the fan favorite coop which is finally making an appearance next month (7 months later) and it's only half the usual coop experience (lacking coop adventure). Truly sad for what is supposed to be the last game in the series.

The 2017 GOTY awards will be far more difficult for me but will probably be between Mass Effect Andromeda and Red Dead Redemption 2.

I had been busy with backlog and older games I missed earlier. Doom 2016 is the only current game I'm playing.

I'd say, Uncharted 4 will take it all. Whatever gamers say about its play style, it does have the professional reviewers' blessings....and who does the GOTY awards?

Plus, I liked the previous Uncharted games on the PS3. I'd vote for the latest one.

The level design, the world building, the super natural powers, the missions, ... Everything in Dishonored II is amazing.

Every room you enter in Dishonored II is different, every street you turn in Dishonored II is something new.

Few games can hold a candle to how well Dishonored II is crafted. It's not only GOTY 2016, it's one of the best games in decades.

These kinds of threads are a bit contradictive by nature. For someone to decide which game deserves to be GOTY it means that he/she has played all the games that came out this year so that they can decide which one it will be. Not to mention that even such a thing would be impossible at this time of year when there's a whole month yet with a few releses on their way. So the right question should be: What's your favourite game from this year?

This year kinda sucked. Saying that, hipsters say every year sucked.

Doom - Masterpiece

Hitman - apart from shitty practice. its one of the best stealth game in a long time and only pure stealth game today

Titanfall 2 - not a masterpiece or anything but its one of the most creative SP FPS in years

Deus Ex MD - could have been better if contents are not cut. but still a great Deus Ex game.

Doom alone make this year much better than previous years.

2014 was only a bad year if you did not own a Wii U. If you did own a Wii U, it was a great year as you got to enjoy Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze, Bayonetta 2, Mario Kart 8, Shovel Knight, and Super Smash Bros U which are all some of the best games of this generation.

This year, in my opinion, did kind of suck all around and I would definitely rank it as the worst year of this generation. I think the Game of the Year was easily Uncharted 4.

Thankfully, 2017 looks like it will be an excellent year for gaming with great games scheduled for all platforms.

@storm_of_swords: I got my wii u in 2014, it was just a meh year with the xbone and ps4 not having all that much. The wii u probably had its best year in 2014, but thats not saying a lot...

The best thing I've played this year is Witcher 3 Blood and Wine... but it doesn't really count since it's DLC.

So I'll go with Inside.

Dark Souls 3, despite it being my least favourite souls game

Forza Horizon 3, regardless of it being a 'racing' game it's got limitless entertainment value, amazing design, fantastic multiplayer, it's just the best put together game this year without a doubt.

What bothers me about these GOTY Awards is that games like this are not taken seriously as if they're not in contention at all, it's stupid...

The stuff I've heard about this game is superb. I have got to get my hands on Dishonored 2.

Dark Souls 3 and Dishonored 2 are my favorites this year.

I'd give it to Dishonored 2 over DS3 if it wasn't such a technical mess on PC. Id Tech 5 is such a piece of shit engine.

The game doesn't deserve shit, but SFV is easily my goty at the moment.

Kinda weird that you'd have BB on there in a year that saw SFV and Revelator.
