Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines comes to mind, but it's not quite old enough yet.
Deus Ex probably.

You got it dude.Tight.
Parasite Eve, Resident Evil 2 (REmake style), Final Fantasy VI (PSP: For Better Graphics).
I wonder why people mention Xenogears when they ran out of money the first time. It costs MORE to make games now. It's more likely that it would be cut shorter, not extended to a fuller length (2nd Disc issue).
Chrono Chross, Vagrant Story, Parasite Eve and Final Fantasy VII HD remakes please.-DrRobotnik-
Parasite Eve makes total sense because graphics is what it always stood for. Of course the Parasite Eve games also had amazing gameplay/story.

Personally, i want a remake because i havent played it. It was never released in Europe, and i feel im missing out:(Every 3D game on the PlayStation and N64 and every CRPG released before 2002.
System Shock 2, Deus Ex, the older Thief games, and Dark Forces II would also be nice.
Metal gear solid and halo 1rikansemHalo 1? That has pretty tolerable graphics in the PC version, and it can practically be played on a Blackberry.
[QUOTE="Synthetic_NinJI"]XenoGears > Anygame you guys name.BlackbondOnly if the remake is the full game and not the budget cut released version we got which was still godly. Agreed. If Square is going to be doing all these re-makes they should at least do their best games. I'd love to see Vagrant Story on PSP.
MGS and Resident Evil 2 and 3. Resident Evil 2 would probably be the coolest. Maybe they could use the new combat controles, just with more physics maybe. So the character feels heavier and more natural. It could work pretty well, if they pump up the zombies and lower the amount of bullets available. You'll have to kick, punch and run your way through in the start, awesome!! But I would be happy with just a Remake as well, like the Resident Evil for GC.
Super Metroid
Castlevania X: SotN
Strider
FFVII
Blood Omen: Legacy of Kain
Soul Reaver
Vagrant Story
FF Tactics (would be great if made in the same gfx engine as Valkyria Chronicles)
I'd like to see all those remade! And a lot more games... but those are the main ones.
Why do we need remakes? Enjoy the classics. Just look at the film industry - the Americans always remake foreign films, and make them suck (the italian job, get carter, the grudge etc...)
Just leave the classics alone, remakes will never live up to the hype!

It's kind of hard to enjoy the classics when they all look like crap and won't play on any modern system.

The Resident Evil remake proved that remakes can work.

I think that would change the entire feeling of RE2 to something different.

?
wow, could it be that a new type of fanboy is coming up... the modern gaming fanboy??
because really, if you think they look like crap (the old games), that's your call, your sole opinion, nothing more. they are graphically outdated, yes, but they are still beautiful in their own manner. Like classic old movies (The Godfather, The Magic of OZ, etc.) are and can still be perfectly enjoyed. i know a lot of people that still play old games to enjoy the experience once again. In fact, there are some games, like Full Throttle, that are more beautiful than many modern games. Like i think there are some movies that look better than new ones due to the art style (like i prefer some old Disney cartoons than a few of the new ones). It's simply all a matter of opinion.
Like classic old movies (The Godfather, The Magic of OZ, etc.) are and can still be perfectly enjoyed.SambaLeleMovies don't have "graphics" or "gameplay" elements that age. They have film that could degrade, but technology has made that more and more a moot point. Films do not age anywhere near the same as games do.I can enjoy classic games, but very few age well.
