What games did you expect Nintendo to show

My list:

- new Mario (either Galaxy 3 or SM64 2 or a completely new project)

- new Star Fox (a reboot of sorts; possibly with graphics that resembled the original style)

- new F-Zero (with online play and a level editor)

- new Wave Race (amazing water physics are a must)

- new DK (either DK64 2 or DKC5)

- new Metroid (either Prime 4 or M5)

- a revived old franchise

- new IP

I expected atleast some of those to be shown. And from 3rd parties I expected SSFIV Arcade Edition, Mortal Kombat, RE6, Sonic Generations, MGS HD Collection and possibly an exclusive title.

Iwas expexting to finally see Pikmin 3. At least it was mentioned and confirmed to still be in development. Miyamoto says it's been far in development for Wii, but has since been moved over to Wii U

I was a little surprised to not see anything on megaman legends 3.

As a gamer I really expected more new games and it seems as though every e3 I trick my self into excitement but this e3 was the most lack luster e3 in a while and for one reason... we were given a new console with no games, dont get me wrong Im still excited about the Wii but come on you're meant to have a dozens of footage of new games for a console not video footage of developers say yeah were gonna make games on the console. New Metroid and Mew mario. Mario cause he is frikkin Mario (or some form like smash and mario kart) and Metroid cause its been a little while since other M released and it would be the perfect game to showcase the power of the Wii U. Luckily they will certainly show off some amazing games either at TGS, some special conference, or at next years E3 (hopefully E3). They definitely put the attention on the 3DS for games, cause its whats out and what they are focusing on, but soon the attention will shift to the WiiU.

Metroid's 25th Anniversary Came out the same year as Zelda, but doesn't even get a mention at the show, while Zelda gets its own orchestra and fanfare. It is a thoroughly disappointing thing for me.foxhound_fox

Haha They should have atleast done something small. Metroid definitely deserves it, but it has never been up there with the big hitters. I think part of it is because they are so darn inconsistent. Zelda is a far more reliable series in terms of awesomeness :P. I do love Super Metroid, Prime 1, and Prime 2 though.

Pretty much what they showed. I really would have wanted a couple new Wii and 3DS games but eh, what can ya do?

None of them are bad really, but I feel they are inconsistent. Of course some people would disagree with me. I think...

Metroid - Great for its time (not quite as good as Zelda though)

Return of Samus (I hated it, but I didnt play too too much either)

Super Metroid (AMAZING. Arguably the pinacle of Metroid games, and easily the best 2D one)

Metroid Zero Mission (Great game, but its basically a worse, shorter version of Super Metroid)

Metroid Fusion (SOlid game, but repetitive and much more boring IMO)

Metroid Prime (second best metroid, nearly perfect)

Metroid Prime 2 (some ways better, some ways worse than Prime 1)

Metroid Prime Hunters (Ok I love the unreal tournament sty1e multiplayer, but really? THe SP SUCKS!)

Metroid Prime 3 (what a frikkin letdown. THIS is Metroid? SOlid game, but NOT metroid)

Metroid Other M (Good game, but could have been SO much more, and was nothing like Metroid)

I guess for me Metroid hit its stride halfway through. The bolded ones are where IMO, the metroid series was doing quite well. But its been going downhill, despite enjoying Other M :P.

I expected some more information on Last Stroy and Xenoblade. I don't mind that they focused on the Wii U, which I think has a lot of potential, but with the videos for the 3rd party Wii U games, I was hoping for some 1st party glimpses too.

If you live in Europe you're lucky. NA doesn't get either of those games. I think I'm going to import though.

More Wii games announcements on the conference itself, not just on the website. For me personally I don't mind, but I want them to have as strong show as possible. I liked MP9 and the new Kirby, but where are the localizations? They could've showed some casual games just to make it more filled with content, the new monopoly game and Just Dance 3.

I expected a Smash Bros. teaser, I just wasn't sure for which platform, turns out I was kinda right in assuming that it could be for any of the systems, it's on both.

Show more of the already announced 3DS games. What they showed was great, but I wanted them to have even more games up there, because they exist, just to make the conference stronger. I, however, did not expect them to announce new games, because the lineup is stellar as it is. Save Zelda 3DS teaser for E3 2012.

I predicted the Golden Wii Remote Plus, I even made a thread on the Wii board more than a month ago about this.

I did not expect Nintendo to showcase Skyward Sword again, I predicted it would be a trailer only, simply due to time restrictions.

I called the fact that Wii U was not going to be a full reveal like 06, nor a teaser like 05. More than a teaser, but not a full reveal. I can link you to this comment I made prior to the event if you'd like. I expected Zelda HD and Starfox from Retro, to showcase the graphics.

The show gets A- from me, last year was A+
