What is your top five ? I was going to rate L.A Noire one of them but due to the issues with Rockstar and Team Bondi. . . Nah.

For me UC3 will be GOTY but i think either SS or Portal 2 will win GOTY.

The only game Ive played this year that I can honestly say gave me the "wow this game is flawless in every respect" feeling was Portal 2 and thus it currently has my GOTY award... I am excited for AC and Skyrim but honestly, nothing is going to eclipse Portal 2.

My guess would be one of those.

LBP 2 would be a stretch, since a GOTY pretty much requires an amazing SP. LBP 2 has a very fun story mode, but I don't think it's traditional enough to be GOTY material.

Out of the ones I played:

Deus Ex: HR, Dark Souls, Gears of War 3, and Arkham City.

I think Skyrim, Witcher 2, Shogun 2, Uncharted 3, and Skyward Sword all have a good chance.

My personal favorites are Infamous 2 and Arkham City.

Personally i have a deep love for the game design that inFamous, Batman, and Assassin's Creed uses.

and Batman : Arkham City was by far and away by absolute game of the year so far.

I will enjoy the hell out of Battlefield 3 and Uncharted 3. don't get me wrong.

but that open world game design. just love it.

my GOTY is batman AC no doubt. absolutely amazing. Gears 3 was pretty awesome too. anyways, top 5 GOTY choices are:

Still Sticking to pokemon. Handhelds get their own GOTY :P

If skyrim does release like a mess it's going to flop at GS. They seem to be harsher on games lately ever since batman AC came out.. which is a good and bad thing because games that had it easy will still have a good score.

Also AC is looking promising.

I have not played enough of BF3 to say yet, but if I disregard my own love for BF3 and just think about what game deserves it the most, it is Portal 2 (so far) easily. Portal 2 was an amazing game, unique in many ways, and near flawless. An absolute blast that I gave a 9.5 and considered a giving a 10. Skyward Sword, Uncharted 3, Skyrim, Batman, and maybe more could take its place.

Arkham City is all I got.

I'm thinking it's between Dark Souls, Uncharted 3, Zelda SS, and Batman AC. I would say Skyrim, but I have hardly seen anything about that game. I fi'm going off of what i've seen, i'd choose U3 even though it got a 9(but doesn't really matter in GOTY running, since it is obviously going to be better than Gears 3). If i had to choose on what i've played, i'd say DarkSouls, Resistance 3, or Gears 3. Batman soon, and then UC3 :)) and MW3(for multiplayer lol)

No, no, no, no and no. Dark Souls is GOTY. It makes all those Uncharteds, Gearzes and CODS so generic and uninspired.

Though I'm a PS3 owner, I just can't see UC3 getting it this year. Sure, I haven't played it yet but the bar is already pretty high with previous honors. They wouuld REALLY have to do some amazing things to get it.
