I always lose at that game!!
Too bad there's no game genie for that lol.you don't need the game genie. Here'sa code for you, lotion up, go up up, down down, left right, a b c, hit start and explode;)
As in you know you love the game from the moment you start?
SMB3, Super Mario World, The Legend of Zelda, Punch Out, Double Dragon 2, Ninja Gaiden 2(NES), Castlevania 2 Simons Quest (I know, :P)Phantasy Star IV, Ocarina of Time, Final Fantasy IV, Final Fantasy VI, Chrono Trigger, Metal Gear Solid 2, Metal Gear Solid 3, Ninja Gaiden(xbox), Shadow of the Colossus,
Damn too many to keep listing.
Pajama Sam.
But in all seriousness it's been a while, the last game was probably Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep. Once Dearly Beloved kicks in on the main menu it's a great feeling, as much as I want KH3 I never want the series to end.
I'm gonna assume you meant "what games really seemed special to me me when I first played" and not what the other posters are thinking. In which case, I would say Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines, Homeworld, The Witcher 2, STALKER, Rome: Total War, Deus Ex, Company of Heroes and Men of War. There a lot of other games which I consider to be as good or better than these examples, but they took a longer time to make a lasting impression on me.

Why the hell would one get that feeling from DKC 2,Mario 64 and OoT!?! *Looks at sig* Action Hank!! Anyway, I'd say any game that gives a great first impression (Dead Space for fear and panic, God of War 3 for one epic beginning, GTA IV for...one bad-ass opening theme song :P).Heroes of Might and Magic 3, of course. Played it when it came out, and still play it to this day, although I have bought several copies for the years. That's the reason I have it in my sig as well. Gotta share the goodness!
Despite the hilarity of some of the posts in this topic I'll be a little more serious. Call of Duty 4 probably, the ship level managed to be cinematic in a good way, not like the endless cutscenes of the newer ones. The beginning of Final Fantasy VI was pretty impressive for an SNES title. The Witcher 2, admittedly mostly because I was really impressed by the graphics as I'd just recently gotten my gaming PC. Deus Ex: Human Revolution when I realized it actually did have the freedom I was desperately hoping it would. World of Warcraft for sure, it was my first real MMO. Half Life 2, it nailed the atmosphere from the second the game started. Metro 2033 for much the same reason. Every Uncharted's intro has impressed me and gotten me hyped up, even Drake's Fortune.
