What games should of got without the .5

without the .5 increment what have games like cysis,SMG,and halo 3 would of go me start:

Well the thing about the .5 system is that, if you're hypothetically speaking of what a game would have got without a .5 system, then only move the score by like, 0.1, then it might as well have had the .5 anyway :|

Exactly. There's plenty of difference between an 8.5 and a 9.0. Not so much between an 8.5 and 8.7 or 8.3.

.5 increments, which gives you a range of 20 valuesis more thansufficient for grading between two games, the important grades being AAAA, AAA, AA, A. A game going from 8.5 to 8.7 is STILL AA, but if it was substantially better enough to get a 9.0 or 9.5, then it really is distinguished from others as a AAA tile.

What am I biased towards? I can't give a high score to something that is basically just an expansion and when compared to games like COD4, Crysis, and Orange box, isn't even a buy.

Halo 3 is an expansion yet Orange Box which is just halflife 2 + portal and TF = 9.7?

You just proved my point. OB is the best value package that I've ever seen in gaming. + Portal is as innovative as they come. TF2 is pretty sick as well.

Halo, SMG and Crysis would have all gotten 8.8, just to mess with everyone's minds.

R&C would have gotten 7.8.

First of all ive played both R&C and AC so i can form my own opinion without using a bunch of mixed reviews.

Secondly, AC was maybe not a 9, but easily better than a 7.8.

Third AC is multiplat so i'll ask again who are they being biased towards.

then why did halo 3 score that high at almost every other site?... how can gs be biased if assassins creed got the same on 360 and ps3?
