What gaming platform do you prefer to game on? And why? Is it because of the game selection? Hardware? Interface? Feel of the controls? Or because you always have? Why do you really like gaming? What makes you like it?

you dont wanna ask a question like that here hahaha but i like them all honestly, and also see flaws with them all as well. But recently i like PS3 best mainly because xbox 360 is in the middle of a major exclusive games droughtWhat gaming platform do you prefer to game on? And why? Is it because of the game selection? [QUOTE="freedomfreak"]That sounds suspiciously like something Hitler might say. I can only imagine how worse Hitler could've been if he was a gamer.Anything that has good games.
Badosh
i'm gonna go with my computer. simply because when i am done playing said game and want to use the interwebz i can simply close the game and open up a web browser without switching seats. ah laziness.
I choose whoever i have fun with at the time. Do not argue with a gamer who been in the hobby 30 years. Let me elaborate. If the game is fun and i'm playing it on a particular system exclusive or multiplat THAT is my favorite system.
PC, for its exclusives and multiplats (graphics are the last thing on my mind) any of Nintendo's handhelds (GB, GBC, GBA. DS, 3DS) for their 1st and 3rd party games. Nintendo consoles as well. Price is a big factor (with the excpetion of the PC which I paid $675 for a pretty good prebuilt; if you want the specs PM me) whereas the PS3 and XBOX didn't have anything to offer except shooters and racers when it first came out. Now that's its changed and there a bit more variety in its genres, I'm tempted to get something, but there's still not a whole lot of variety.
The Wii for uncomplicated reasons. Nintendo still makes quality games, and You can download many older titles onto the console, which is great for me because I am a HUGE classic gamer. You people can have your advanced hardware, your advanced framerates, your HD graphics, your mulitplats and 3rd party games, your mature titles, and your shameless self-promotion of a product and your shameless degredation of people who don't idolize the same things as you, I'll just stick with the concole I just happen to enjoy the most.

Really? How's Read Dead Redemption on PC? :P
If he doesn't want that game, it doesn't matter.I like PS3 better (obviously) because:
I like the exclusive games like Uncharted and Killzone ect...more than I do Halo and Gears of War ect...
I prefer PSN as it's FREE online MP, it's nice to save money and feels good not having a somekind of game tax over your shoulder. I don't think anything in XBL justifies the fee, it's not worth the money to put it simply.
I love Blu Ray because I'm a movie buff lol
I grew up with the Playstation brand and controller so that's what I'm more familiar with and it's a brand name I trust, never had any problems with it.
I get to play great multiplats as well and they look and play identicle to their 360 counter parts. So I get the best of both worlds.
Reliable Hardware, yep it's true.
Cheaper in the long run, with Xbox you keep having to pay for fees and add ons ect...
And that's about it, although if there's a good game I'll play it regardless of whatever system it's on. I played Reach and enjoyed it, I played Zelda SS and enjoyed it, I played KOTOR (not the MMO) and Morrowindon PC and enjoyed it . Each system has good games to offer, and the more they have the better. This is why I can't stand people who say exclusives don't matter, if you do then your an idiot and should just leave the Game Inustry as your making it worse.
"I love Blu Ray because I'm a movie buff lol"
Can't argue with that.

You mean games like Skyrim?
"Reliable Hardware, yep it's true."
No, it's false. I'm on my third PS3 at the moment, and even now it's not working. After two YloDs on my previous systems the controllers will now not sync with this one. I've sent it in under warranty twice and got it back both times still not working. Am now being told I have to pay or buy another system for a FOURTH time. Granted, I've had one RRoD on my 360, but MS had a replacement back to me in a matter of days with a free month of XBL thrown in and I've had no trouble for years now. Sony's hardware is garbage, either that or I've had extraordinarily bad luck this gen with them. And I take very good care of my hardware.
"Cheaper in the long run, with Xbox you keep having to pay for fees and add ons ect..."
Examples? Aside from XBL and arcade titles I spend nothing. But I've had to pay near a grand to replace all my broken PS3s, and now my third is not working and Sony is basically telling me to f*ck off or pay up. As it is, my PS3 paperweight is sitting collecting dust, and I refuse to try to fix it or give Sony any money whatsoever. Which sucks, because I want to play its games as well as watch Blue Rays. But I will not support a company that acts as they are. I'll get another PS3 when the PS4 is out and it's dirt cheap to catch up on my backlog, but I'm buying it used so Sony does not see a penny more of my money. I will not buy a PS4, at least not until it's at the very end of its life-span.
I'm seriously pissed at them, in fact I haven't been so angry at any company ever, especially to the extent that I'd impede my personal enjoyment out of general principle. They can go to hell for all I care, and I hope they struggle. They deserve it.

Don't bother arguing with shadowmoses. He is blind by his fanboy goggles. He is kinda like theGameDude (remember him from pray_to_me's Gears 3 thread?). He's just jealous that he can't have a portal gun and flaming sword like us manticores.
PC of course. Once a PC outlived its usefulness in (current) gaming, it still gets used in other functions such as internet surfing, graphics, home and office apps. I have a 2001 PC (AMD XP 1700+/GF4-Ti4200) still in active use today. I had a still-working P3-733 from 1999 which I donated to Goodwill (and a tax writeoff) not too long ago.

:lol:Yea I suppose. I haven't been on SW for very long, but I've seen a few of his posts. I still hold out hope for his conversion, because inside every cow is a manticore waiting to break free.

Nah... but I have an i5 2500k in the desktop PC I got as a Christmas present.
I'm waiting to see how powerful nvidia's 600/700 series and next gen consoles turn out to be, before I buy a high-end graphics card (and a PSU to support it).
I'm content with console gaming for this year though. There's only about 5 or 6 games that I'm interested in right now.
I have no issue answering this question, so I wont hide behind not wanting people to know my true feelings on the situation with comments like "whichever has good games"... for me I prefer my 360...
I also like the wii for the virtual console and the ps3 has been a decent addition and I look forward to MLB the Show 12 and a few other games, though I do not like the controller for either of those consoles... the wii feels odd when Im gaming and the dualshock makes my hands cramp out during long play sessions. I also dont get the same vibe from PS3 and Wii that I do from my 360.... the 360 seems to say "turn me on and play with me" :P not in a dirty way... haha.
