Hi Gamers. I know there has been a dozen or so polls on this topic, but with the recent release of Halo Infinite and it’s rave reviews on the campaign I would like to know what Campaign you loved the most.

My personal favourite is Infinite.

Not sure if I missed any other Halo games,if I did don’t be shy and let me know please.

Thank You. Please discuss.

Only beat H1, H2, H3 and Reach. H1 was the most fun solo. H3 was the most fun in coop on Legendary.

Reach, Halo 3, CE

I like all of them, but ODST is definitely the worst.

Of the mainline I never played H5 and Infinite

Having this in mind I think Reach was my favorite. That last level was cool

I enjoyed Halo Infinite campaign more than any other Halo campaign with the exception of Reach. Reach was the first Halo game that I found enjoyable all the way through.

I beat all of them except odst and possibly halo2, not sure. Halo infinite is the best of them all in my books. Infinite gives MC more character. He's still blunt and to the point, but they added a touch of human emotion to his robotic soldier personality and it works really well.

One scene in infinite, the pilot asks what master chief is even fighting for, since he has nothing back home or anyone he loves. MC just says, "because it's all ive ever known". There's so many bits of dialog and story in this game that gives you insight into master chief. The game might not be perfect but it's a good change after halo 5, which honestly I didn't even like all that much.

@girlusocrazy: I enjoyed Halo 2 SP the most too. Thought the story was the best. Granted I usually don't care much about story but playing as the arbiter was cool and it was cool to be able to play as both Spartans or elites in MP. Halo 2 had alot of personality and is my personal favorite Halo game overall. Gets a lot of hate by PC crowd back in the day for having such a bad PC port. But that game was game changing on Xbox.

I've finished Halo CE, 2 and Infinite. Played a lot of 3 and some of Reach.

Halo CE is by far the one I enjoyed the most. probably would have enjoyed 2/3 more if I played them when they came out and in co-op.

Infinite was fun but the story was not good and it lacked variety.

For its time Halo CE but ODST and Reach probably remain favorites of mine. Halo 5 is also really fun and even though not strongest on story is really fun because of balance of weapons and abilities and probably most polished graphically.

Of all the takes in this thread, I think I agree with this one the most. Halo CE was repetitive, and confusing due to the lack of variety in the level design. Reach was really good. 2 was lol. 3 was better. 4 and 5… Nah. ODST was fun. Probably my 3rd favorite. I also liked the Halo Wars games.

The story of the Halo games is overrated AF. But when it’s good, it’s pretty good. But when it’s meh… Well y’all don’t wanna talk about that. Still far better than any PS game though

As an Ubisoft expert, would you say that the Infinite open world felt very Ubisoft'ish or nah?

I have played and finished all of them and I must say Halo 3 is probably my favorite, so many epic moments in that one, good amount of variety, and fun. Quite enjoyed ODST too actually (well the character parts not the weird open world thing they tried). Infinite was fun excellent game play wise, but I felt something was missing, maybe more setpoede moments or just overall story seemed short, but anyway quite enjoyed infinite def top 3 halo sp wise.

Worst ones are probably halo 4 and halo 5 (especially 5).

definitely some Ubisoft overtones to the open world activities. the sheer amount of stuff in the open world is much less than in a Ubisoft game and its meted out in manageable chunks which does help though. Metro Exodus' structure is not a bad comparison

Metro Exodus structure was very good, tho. Explorarion and such was pretty immersive, but from what i've seen of Infinite, its just your standard Halo with large combat areas.

I completed the campaign last night. What a great game, I really enjoyed it, much more than I thought I would.

I wish it was a longer game.

Ghost of Tsushima and Halo Infinite succeed in something Ubisoft is unable to do: make a fun Assassin's Creed style game.

I'd say it's standard halo with large combat areas and a falcon punch.

Before if you flew a banshee or drove a tank, it was basically scripted when you'd get these vehicles, but now you can really mix up and pick your own battles.

"Gonna attack this one very difficult enemy by pummeling him from the air and then finish him off by jumping on top of him while firing a rocket launcher"

There is a lot of freedom and I feel the game doesn't outstay its welcome.

Meh. The vehicles in a Halo game were never anything worthwhile to me. They need to be well animated, have good physics and sound well, and from what i've seen in Infinite and played in the other Halo titles, that is far from being it. BF does this so much better. Give me any tanks from any battlefield titles in Halo Infinite and i know for a fact i would enjoy using it over anything in Infinite.

@Pedro: I liked the story of Reach the best. Plus, it felt like a complete game; meaning, there was no open-ending that would spawn a sequel. It was a true single-story campaign. And, IMO, it had one of the most memorable endings to any videogame of the past 20 years.

Plus, it added a lot of official canon to the universe.

Im not huge Halo fan. but original Halo was actually different than any game follow. by 2001 standard it was hardly generic.

but yes Masterchief is Doomguy rip off.

of course Alan wake is better MS title.

CE, then ODST. 2/3 were alright, however by the time Reach came out it just felt a little stale Didn't play 5 mind you as I thought 4 was pretty dull.

Infinite so far is proving promising, it just doesn't feel quite as balanced as CE did (mainly the weapons)

We need a thread with "what is the worst Halo campaign of the series". I feel like Infinite needs to win an award for once.
