I personally think they should have dropped the price of the 360 already by $100. It's almost been 2 years, and to have a $199 model and a $299 model is not a bad spot to be in if they want to gain a little more traction.
They didn't think about dropping until the defects became too evident. Had to cash in before losing out on money. Who knows, they might've made money from screwing out its customers.

Seriously dude, you should really take off your fanboy gogglesand realize that the PS3 is a very high quality piece of electronic equipment. It screams high tech when you see it sitting on your entertainment stand. The slick black finish, the BluRay capabilities, the Sixaxis control, the built in WiFi, 6 USB, Flash memory, SD, HDMI, FREE Online network, slick user interface and much more!!! When you actually sit down and play games like Resistance, Motorstorm, and VF 5 you can see the potential the PS3 has. The 2007 line up which is highlighted by Heavenly Sword, Lair, Warhawk and Uncharted: Drakes Fortune will convince even more prospective buyers to plunk down $500 on this machine whic Imo is a steal!!! After seeing Killzone 2, MGS 4 and other 2008 games, the PS3 has alot more bullets in the chamber for the future!
I used to be like you. I was a HUGE Lemming and did everything in my power on these forums to bash the PS3. Then once the price drop came and whether it came less than a year or after 2 years shouldnt matter, the PS3 has a spot in my console collction and rightfully so!! It is a great system and as more and more games come out, more and more blind Lems like you will see that it is a great console with alot of potential!!
P.S. If you dont beleive that I own a 360, my gamertag is DEADman911!!!

Yeah, because they(Microsoft) need the money so desperately. They had to extend the warranty on the360 instead of dropping the price because they just can't afford it.

Actually I don't, Microsoft really just recapped all their games, Assassin's Creed and Cod4 was cool and everything, but it's not like they announced anything incredible.
Well I saw Sony's conference and that wasn't any better than Microsoft, but they were more confident than Sony.(man, read the E3 news about Microsoft and Sony)...............(and Nintendo)

by showing tons of multiplats and a underwhelming halo 3 ? :/ dude how old are you? a company doesnt win a console war with a media conference, especially the conference MS had. announcing their best game on 360 will come to pc with exclusive content, not announcing any new games that i remember. showing "scene it", wtf was that btw? and then a bunch of games that could be found elsewhere, while sony and ninty showed new stuff, that were exclusive and exciting.
