I love Sim City, Zoo Tycoon, Rollercoaster Tycoon and so on, but I dont see any new Tycoon games now, did they abandoned that genre? :(

hope am not wrong by was it Microprose that originally produced that series of games ? (i think it closed a while ago)

I have seen quite a few games in the tycoon genre come out recently, unfortunately there all made by companies like PopCap so I doubt there any good.

I loved Railroad Tycoon 2, thanks god there's Sid Meirs railroad for replacement.

I also liked Sim Theme Park.

theirs every tycoon game you can think of on the pc. casino, prison, hotel etc. its all just sold as budget shovelware. we have spinner stands FULL of the stuff were i work

There are still being made regularly. They're just not popular in US, so american press and retailers overlook them.

I Loved the Tycoon games too and yes they did come out under microprose originally but the more recent games were published by atari, The last ones i owned being Locomotion(Transport Tycoon Deluxe with bells) and Rollercoaster tycoon 3, both awesome! I would defo get onboard with a new tycoon game!

I just installed Rollercoaster Tycoon 1 and its 2 expansions a couple weeks back and Im having a blast with them:D To bad 3 was complete garbage and didnt fell like RCT at all :(
