What Happened to the PS3 Slim?

I am just curious because I was looking forward to seeing it this E3 and I failed to see it. I thought they would make a big announcement about it and maybe even make a price cut. Was it all bogus or are they waiting to officially tell us about it later?

Well that's disappointing...

The slim is the kind of product you spring on people because it will replace the existing PS3s , and they need to sell those first and make room.

It'll be at TGS with a price drop for Christmas, surely. Sony has a lot of fatty PS3's to sell off still.

It was fake. Too bad TheNextOrder isn't around anymore.

it was proven to be a fake, done so by the same guys who made a fake PS Home countdown. their plan was to "leak" a few images out, fake a sony lawyer threaten to sue any website who publishes the pics (to make it seem all the more real) then sell the remaining pics to the highest bidder. can't remember which website proved it, but it was on SW before E3 started.

and PS3 price cuts have been around since the original price was shown
