i was just thinking about how all these upcoming games are going multiplat and very few are exclusives (mgs and FF to 360) what will happen when all/majority of the future games go multiplat?...no more system wars? sorry if there were other threads about this.
People still debate about which multiplatform version is better. To be honest, if every game where multiplat you'd only need one system. Won't ever happen though.

well like todays games are made multiplat and dont show the true powers of the xbox 360 and ps3 and assuming how lazy devs are getting they are just gonna make a multiplat game to make more money. and i dont care for nintendos ip's mainly focusing on ps3 and 360.
If all of the upcoming games are multiplat, then you go for the cheapest system.

Really? Wouldn't you go for the best system? Whats the point if they all play the same games, and at the same quality? If this were to happen right now and I didn't own my PS3, I would of got a 360. Then again a PS3 would of still been a better value as my nice tv needs the nice blu rays. If it was strictly on gaming then yeah really.

Nobody said they'd play all games at the same quality. Or have the same features.

Sorry but....why would you quite gaming? You're not being stopped from playing your favourite games, in fact all games become more accessible. because the whole aspect of gaming would be destroyed. could you imagine if microsoft monopolized gaming? all games on one console...how unimaginative. and there would be a price increase because of the lack of competition, which would draw people away from gaming. hopefully sony bounces back and takes over m$ this gen. but the will obviously take over next gen.
Well if all games go mulitplat, there would be no need for more than one system. There will always be 1st party titles. As more and more 3rd party devs go multiplat, its up to the 1st party publishers to kick it in gear and make some good exclusives.

Why wouldn't you buy the cheapest console? If all you want to do is game, and all of the games are available on all systems, why would you possibly buy the more expensive console? It makes no sense.
