Bioshock was fast to beat? It took me 25 hours. :|Sir-Marwin105
25 hours doesn't equal $80. Remember that the Canadian dollar is on par with the American dollar.
Ouch games are still $80 in Canada even with the dollars on par.....should come down here to get them.
Yeah they're short but you gotta understand that the effort it takes to make an hour of good action campaign gameplay went up by about 6 times this generation. And that's outside of building new game engines and tech for this gen.
It's prettymuch unavoidable if the game is linear and fast paced. All you can do is have a larger budget or a slowed down game with less detail. Plus the only shot at having super long fast paced action games comes from Blu-ray's disc space.... and unless PS3 suceeds no one is going to be willing to front the money to make an epic.
The online multiplayer is something that adds a lot of value to just about any game, for me. If you dont have online i can see your point
So far there is nothing next-gen about the games I feel. The phrase next-gen is always tossed around but it turns out to be nothing more than a phrase. I did not get a next-gen feel with Halo 3, Resistance, Kameo, etc...Ilived
ya i didnt get the next gen feel with halo 3. maybe for a mintue, but then i found it was a lot like halo 2, of course i like 3 much better but still. I still am not a fan of matchmaking, at least give us some more customization for matchmaking. the physics arent too much better. GRavity hammer? doesnt really show off to much physics. ive seen these physics since the source engine first came out.
Gears of war felt next gen cause it was so cinematic and stuff, but i didnt like it much and the next gen wore off quick. wii feels pretty next gen, cause its actually new, but at the moment it is filled with a lot of cheap to make bad games which dont show how next gen the controls really are.
