then the lemmings would have called it crap/assassin's flop, and the cows would be hyping it AAA-AAAA :lol:0rin
If it was PS3 exclusive then it wouldn't score AAA.
It never was exclusive was it?Ragnarok1051
Yeah, when it was first announced a few e3's ago, it was a ps3 exclusive. It was the first game I saw anything for for ps3 that made me want one.

Ah sorry, read your post the wrong way ;)
I would be looking at buying a PS3 right now.
Assassins Creed going multiplat was the last push I needed to buy a 360.
The game was never exclusive...Ever. And it was shown for the 360 first. How anybody could come up with it being an exclusive game is totally beyond me. Ubi never said it was exclusive. They always refused to answer the question when it was asked...heretrix

No, I distinctly remember this being a ps3 exclusive the first time they showed it at e3.

UNtil someone took a picture of it running on a 360 under the table :lol:Its too lame for me have cared about it the first time. Physics engine is broken. And it's buggy.Hitamaru-homia
What do you consider not "lame"?
It was never exclusive, here's a what 3rd Party Dev Said

Incorrect.
The game was originally meant for and was up and running on the original Xbox as a Prince of Persia spin off.
Then got re-tooled for next gen.
The PS3 debut was actually a paid info blackout so Sony would have something big on the show floor at the time, it was always a multiplat title.
And what was on thr show floor wasn't running on a PS3, it was actually a PC running the DirectX version with a PS2 controller.
It was pretty well known that it was a sham as the UBI employees on the show floor at the time were being flat out honest with the media about it being multiplatform, the fanboys however just really wanted to believe that had an exclusive and pulled the old fingers in the ears "La La La I can't hear!" you routine. Project Assassin was shown at X '05.......They later renamed it to Assassin's Creed and then got all tight lipped about it'sexclusivity with Sony, which turned out to be a load of BS circulated by the internet fanboys....Ubi never went on record to say it was a PS3 exclusive..[QUOTE="ianuilliam"][QUOTE="heretrix"]The game was never exclusive...Ever. Which means, as far as official annoncements go, it was a PS3 exclusive. I'm not denying that they intended it to be multiplat, or were working on multiple versions at the time, but as it was announced, it was exclusive.
"For those of you who predicted that Ubisoft would deny any other platforms for Assassin's Creed, pat yourself on the back. A rep told GameSpot News: "Assassin's Creed is coming to the PS3. No other announcements have been made."
As stated before, all signs point toward Assassin's Creed heading to other platforms. Officially, however, the game is a PS3 title."

Ubisoft never said it was an exclusive.
It never was a Sony exclusive.
During X05, there was a game listed as Project Assassin by Ubisoft. This was before Assassin's Creed was announced for the PS3. That's why when they announced it as only PS3, rumors immediately began about it being a multiplat. While we may have gotten the idea that it was a PS3 exclusive, it technically never was.
EDIT: Damn, guess someone got to it before I did. Oh well.
that would be weird considering a lot of 360 owners alread have the gamehalfnaked
Broken street date? It's not released till tomorrow.
I personally would have bought a PS3 probably for this game...mastarifla
I would contemplate that heavily as well, my dear fellow.
I'd be owning a PS3 and lemmings would just annoy people and call this game Crap-sassin's Creed or Assassin's Crap. cyborgjak427
Oh It would have been labled Assassins Flop for sureand i would have been buying it for my PS3. Luckilly I can just buy it for 360.
Cows hyping the crap out of it.
Lemmings bashing it.
tman93
agreed. no one care about this game anymore, for some strange reason. the second it was announced multiplat, the hype stopped, completely.
then cows would be hyping it an AAA.

the game was first announced as a muitplat under a different name for the 360 and ps3..it wasnt untill E3 2006 where it was shown again as assassin's creed. ubisoft's mistake was that while showing off the game as if it were a ps3 excusive title..there were tons of people who remember when the game was first announced as project assassin for the xbox360...that is why rumors started flying about the game not being an excusive to the ps3.
I would be looking at buying a PS3 right now.

cakeorrdeath
Really cool sig.
Ontopic: I would definitely consider buying a PS3 for ASC then.
[QUOTE="Ragnarok1051"]It never was exclusive was it?jlh47
yes it was.
If Assassins Creed was Sony exclusive, it would've been cancelled already. But it didn't, it would sell as horrible as Heavenly Sword and Ratchet. Luckily Jade Raymond saw the light and if they really wanted to make real profits, they JUMPED IN.

Last time I checked 2005 happened before 2006...:|Project Assassin = Assassin's Creed.
And a game is usually not exclusive until the developer or publisher says it is, and sometimes not even then. Just because something isn't mentioned does not mean it isn't going to happen. ESPECIALLY if you see the game announced as appearing on another platform FIRST.
The fact that Ubi would not admit to it being exclusive should have been an obvious clue. If the game was going to be exclusive it would have been explicitly mentioned. It never was mentioned, and as it turned out, not exclusive much to the chagrin of cows everywhere.
