WAW was an 8.5 so i don't think it would make a difference. I wanna get cause of the return of zombie mode and the campaign does look fun.
Wouldn't be surprising. They have mostly made A-AA type of games so far.
Treyarch been riding on IW's coat tail with the CoD games.
I will feel insulted that COD scored the same as Fallout New Vegas.Stevo_the_gamer
You should feel more insulted that MW2 scored higher.

Believe me, I cry myself to sleep every night because of it. :PIts MW2 with a better campaign, better online, and zombies. I don't see how it could get lower score than MW2.

Unless there are a huge amount of mysterious glitches and killstreaks that break the game it won't get under a 9.0. But, then their's that combat training mode and that may lower the game's score depending if it's used well.

World at war got a 8.5. I think it's one of the best COD games out there.

Treyarch is an 8.5 developer....if they got any higher than an 8.5, I would explode...

U asplode yet?
gamespot would be one step closer to giving it a worthy score._Cadbury_This would be the right idea.
It'll be ragged on regardless of its score. There's always people who hate the big franchises..BeyondPainNot really, just look at Starcraft. You really don't see many people ragging on Starcraft at all.
It'll be ragged on regardless of its score. There's always people who hate the big franchises..BeyondPainIt has nothing to do with it being big, although that's kind of like sand in an open wound. The series is bad, and that's why I hate it. It is the cancer that is killing first person shooters. They're all homogenized now, they all blindly borrow elements from COD4 now, and they all copy the basic gameplay template from COD2 now. The result is basically a bunch of games where you grind levelups by sprinting around a few hundred foot square map looking down your ironsights and spraying bullets at targets or if they get too close you spam the knife button. Then you call in the chopper. Rinse, repeat. What is so awesome about this. What is the point that Gamestop needs to be running midnight release parties and these games need to be getting 8-9/10s like candy.
Since its multiplat then by that logic every system on SW will explode and all consoles will leave at the anger that such a game on their console failed to live up to their expectations.

Seems like no one even completes objectives or attempts to really. I was playing the free weekend of MW2 a while back, and did a capture the flag type match and people were just setting up camp about 10 feet away from the flag shooting anyone from the other team that got near it. 3 people on the other team were doing this, and we won even though we had less kills and more deaths, simply because the enemy team didn't even try to get the flag.

People are only borrowing elements from it because it was so popular which is actually a credit to game. Just because there are other people jumping on the bandwagon doesn't make it a bad game, it just means the industry isn't being creative enough. And you make it sound repetitive, like running around and shooting people isn't enough. Aren't MOST FPS games built around that same mechanic essentially.
EDIT: Probably should've thought out my first comment a little more. Some people just have different tastes, like you, as clearly many people enjoy Call of Duty, me included. But you just don't like it :).
Treyarch hasn't made a AAA game since Return to Castle Wolfenstein (when they were called Gray Matter), so I don't see why anyone would be shocked to see an 8.5. That would actually be a great score considering the game is just a $60 expansion pack to MW2.
Seeing how Treyarch's last game got an 8.5, it wouldn't be anything too big. People getting frustrated/gloating about scores is pitiful in the first place.

Well of course they would. Is that even a serious question?

 That guy was hyping Black Ops up more than I was Vanquish.
His love for COD frightens me.
-shrugs- i wouldn't care.

Pretty much this. I never bought a COD game in my life but I'm actually considering Black Ops. Not because it looks any better than previous installments but because I have just been hankering for a good online game lately.

Beating Call of Duty on this board means nothing. The fact that they beat Sony's Halo-killer twice on the other hand means a lot.

anything less than 9.5 will probably destroy him till the next CoD installment.

You underestimate the tension between Halo fans and COD fans...

There aren't many CoD fans on this board to begin with. YouTube would explode though.

Oh we shall see. Eh, probably not because I doubt it will score below AAA anyways.

Got any examples laying around somewhere? lol
