Will it mean much? Since it's a PS2 game the console which has already burned and buried it's competitors any ownage will be non existant because it's not a next gen game. I just played the demo(it's out) and i think Gow2 is more "next gen" than any of the games being releasd on 360 like Crackdown and Bullet witch. But having said that this game is being hyped and i know GS are harsh towards sequels, even though i think this is probably the single most greatest sequel ever created. If it does flop will the cows be owned? I don't really see it as ownage at all, if it was a PS3 game then hell yeah. PS2 is an obselute console ATM, it's competing with nothing really if you think about it. It's selling way

Have you played the demo? man i was in awe, amazing. Yeah by GS's rating system Gow2 cannot get anything higher than 9.3 so it's practically impossible for it to score 9.3+.
only thing it effects are future sales of GoW3.......personally i htought the first one was way over-hyped.....but no...it really effects nothing....Omni-Slash

It is comparable though, both games would be top-rated on Gamerankings and not on GS.

If it flops it will just be another game GS failed to play for more than 10 minutes and review properly which will put it in good company. Looks like an awsome game though, although Im not sure when it launches in Europe and I plan on picking up FF before anything else, my younger brother on the other hand is a GOW nut.

NO WAY it scores less than a 9/10 here at gamespot.
We'd have another LoZ: TP deal. People would still buy it and others will run it into the ground. Defenders would say that it's not even a next gen game (PS2 after all) and haters will use the bit that that didn't help TP. As unlikely to flop as it is if it did the whole thing would be beat to death just like TP was.

Well, I for one was pissed when GS flopped GH2 (imo so many more features, such a better game too) so my take on it yea, GOW2 will get a 8.9 or lower (lets just say they didn't spend enough time with it) btw i stopped reading your rant at "...most greatest"

GameSpot scores mean nothing to me. Sure it'll get the cows all worked up on System Wars, but in such examples of Zelda, the Sonic Adventure series (where GS claimed both games had great gameplay on the DC and then claimed it was shallow and repetitive gameplay on the GC) and a whole slew of other games, the GameSpot scores don't define a thing. GoW2 will be teh sexi.

Well, considering that alot of other places are giving it near perfect scores, you can bet that they will prolly give the review to jeff, and he'll give it an 8.8
If Halo 2 got a 9.0+ this game deserves 9.0+ because Halo 2 was a massive leap back from Halo1 and GoW2 is being heralded as a step foward for GoW series
