Umm first of all,if you even read the Halo books you find out his name is John. JOHN.

John is a guy's name. Then it describes HIM as 40 years old, short brown hair in a military cut, and a somewhat sad expression.

Then there are female spartans also,which have a female voice. The suits don't change the voices,

"Her" name is John. Do you know of any women named John? You know he is a he, because of the novel "Fall of Reach", which chronicles his life prior to going in to the suit.

dude have you read the halo books? he isn't a woman. he's a male caucasian of completely normalness. no surprises under his helmet.
