I could see MGO going multi. It is a great game for live and would help cover the expense of MGS4. PS3 fans shouldnt hype this as exclusive, especially with them saying the FRANCHISE could go multi. I think the TC could be on to something
no it wouldnt ownage, lemmings would only get half the experience. Its like saying if the ps3 got gears of war online, its cool and all but we dont get the whole experience, so its not ownage.
MGS 4 won't- MGO... I haven't heard anything at all that sugests a Xbox 360 release. But if, hypothetically, MGO would go muktiplat... I mean of course it would hurt Sony, loosing something excusive is never good, but it wouldn't hurt as bad as if MGS 4 would go multi. If Mgo goes multi however, the question is if it could live up to the PS3 version, or if it becomes a port equal or even worse than Splinter Cell DA. I for one believe that any port of games that use the engine from MGS 4 would run much worse on the Xbox, due to it being optimized for the PS3.

But if some time went into the game, it could truly benefit Konami in the future. Obviously the Xbox 360 is a multiplayer focused console, so MGO would be sure to sell quite well; however, Konami could also use MGO to test the new market, much like Tecmo with Sigma. Depending on the success of MGO, Tecmo could release spin-offs or perhaps continue the franchise on both consoles. This is nothing but speculation; although, it does make sense. Fans of MGO may want to jump into a singleplayer experience of the game they love (presumably MGS5 or a spin-off).
MGSO has only been announced for the PS3, so consider it exclusive until further notice. But no, it would not be ownage if MGSO does get made for the 360 as well, Kojima might actually be smart to put it on the 360 as well, even PC maybe but I dunno how well it would go over on that. Either way, I highly doubt that MGS4 will come to the 360, not for quite a while after release at least, I would wager a year minimum and the game would have to be adjusted a lot in order to compensate for a different processor type, seeing as how Cell helps to allow for better visual performance by taking some of the strain off the video card. From what we have seen of MGS4 though, it could be done on the 360 visually but it would have to be changed quite a bit and would no doubt be multi disc.

Because this came up today and so the return of the neverending speculation did as well.
Currently, yes, but you can't stop people from speculating. Everything from Mass Effect to Final Fantasy XIII are all speculated to go multiplat, and there isn't much that Fact can do to stop it, unfortunately. I say to go with the crowd, speculate!
Wouldn't really care much about Metal Gear Online going multiplat because I'm not an online person but I'd care if Metal Gear Solid 4 was going multiplat because then I wouldn't have to buy a PS3 to play it.

I'm not one for singleplayer stealth. I buy Splinter Cell titles for multiplayer alone. Bots are simply designed to be predictable in a stealth game, and I prefer the adrenalin rush of having to improvise your guile-based plans due to an intelligent human adversary. I understand that Metal Gear is more of an action title, but it's still a stealth game at it's core and that leaves the predictable enemy movement patterns.
