what is better for gaming the playstatoin vita or my new gaming pc 800$

So i dont know what i want for my birthday. I never got into a handheld. But what i am talking about is for online gaming so far i hear that i should get a pc for my birthday but i just need opinions

How is this even a question, the obvious answer is PC. The only exception would be if you're travelling the majority of the year.

just depends on what you prefer, stationary gaming or hand-held gaming
for me, no contest, the PC (or any console ever made) trumps the vita easily.

I WOULD SAY GO WITH THE PLAYSTATOIN :P

Although I wouldnt compare a handheld to a cnosole vs pc, I would say that..."why would pc gaming NOT be for him?"..We all know pc can do more but that doesnt mean its a better gaming platform. In the end its about each persons views on the game being played..One might like it better on pc, one might like it better on something else. So just because a pc can do everything doesnt mean its going to give each person the same experience.

Are you seriously asking whether you should get an unproven handheld that hasn't released, or a gaming PC that already has a vast library of games and offers and costs more for your birthday? Seriously?

Its like asking whether you should get a nice Audi for your birthday, or a cool mountain bike. Sure the bike is great, lightweight and cheap, but are you frakkin serious!?

I'd take the PC as it can be used for production in addition to consumption.

Well, it depends on what kind of gaming you want to do, as a PS Vita would be portable and a PC would not (unless it's a laptop, but even then, it's not as freely playable as a Vita). So I don't really know if you can compare the two.

On of the reasons I like the learning curve of PC gaming. It weeds out certain types of players. Now people can get mad at me for generalizing.

You mainly need online? Don't worry about your current options, get the Super Nintendo entertainment system bundled with the XBAND.

dude, Pc. this is no contest. why? because of STEAM! ridicolously cheap games. also, theres a ton of quality FREE games.

EDIT: there's also a ton of MODS! and of course of teh GRAPHICS!

the ones capitilized are the reasons, and thats 4 huge reasons.

2nd edit: and theMAJORITY OF GAMESare on pc. so if you dont like the big games that arent on PC like Halo, gears, uncharted, blah blah. there's a alot better chance that you will enjoy a game on pc than on consoles because theres alot more choice. like for example, im loving the hell out of world of tanks(free) more than any console game this generation. seriously, get pc because its also CUSTOMIZABLE. so, if you want to play fighting games, get a gaming pad for it then or if you wanna play racing simulators or something, get driving accessories for it. now thats 2 more reasons. sooo awesome for $800.
