That is what you have been doing this entire time... You compared Crysis to a typical FPS; which are linear, scripted games like COD. Even the ones you provided as what you consider better examples are restricted, neither of them are like Crysis, neither of them have the sandbox elements.
The fact you brought Halo and Battefiled up as better examples for comparison to Crysis...
[QUOTE="Zero_epyon"]Now please I'm not trying to take credit away from Crysis at all, However, to me it just feels like a regular FPS.Zero_epyon
And what exactly are you not trying to take away from? Considering you have already decided it is a regular FPS? You are contradicting yourself.
I'm done here, the rest isn't worth responding to. You are attempting to rationalize your way of thinking and making a mess of it.
Sure np. Still doesn't change that I didn't like the game as much as you do.What you think doesn't matter. Red is still red, you think it changes because in your opinion it is blue? When we compare games we like to compare them based on facts we CAN compare. You can't compare the Halo Universe to the Crysis Universe, because that's based on appeal. We compare the available weaponry and their balance, the scale of environment, the amount of possibilities you can play the game (stealthy, one-man army, etc), advanced tech that allow different kind of gameplay (try using grass/bushes as cover in other games), we can go on and on.
In conclusion Crysis is a better shooter then any other. You don't like the Crysis Universe? Sure, that's fine, neither do I prefer it. You don't like the setting, that's fine too. Nothing of this matters because it is the core that is important everything else is just a jacket that puts it in a certain theme, environment, setting.
This "MY OPINION" thing is getting out of control.
